My dh (not French!) never wears t-shirts and dresses generally quite formally. Hat and coat in the winter. I love this.

Being good at DIY. Especially woodwork. A man with a big circular saw... Phwoar.

My mum suggested that my now DH seemed ‘one of the most attractive boys around here’ when he had an ironing board and cleaning products outside his room in the student halls of residence, waiting to be returned to the broom cupboard. She wasn’t wrong!

Showing kindness to others. Not just big things, but small things like picking up a toy a child has dropped, or picking something off the top shelf for someone in a supermarket. Noticing someone in need and solving their problem without thinking. Kind to animals.

A good laugh, a proper chuckle, one that makes other people smile even if they don't know why they are smiling.

A good storyteller, not lies, but who can make you want to listen to them. Always has a memory to share, makes information interesting.

Don’t judge.

I am 46 and go to college one day a week. A 21 year old guy in my class told me he was taking is gran, who lives in a care home, to the coast over Easter. Not out of obligation but because he thinks his gran is awesome.

It gave me a little flutter 😂

Hands. Not working hands but manly hands. Instant dislike when I see slim, feminine fingers and small hands on a man
