Washing machine recommendation

My washing machine has died! I have an old Zanussi that has been brilliant. I don't want some new fangled monstrosity that I can't understand or work. I'm looking for a drum at least 8 kg, the option to have a shorter cycle (I had a Bosch that ran for 3 hours on every wash), easy to clean and maintain and reliable. Good for washing delicates. Any recommendations?

Theraininspainfalls
sorry my previous post was AeG

HanaJane · 30/03/2024 23:11

Not a Samsung!

Not a Hotpoin either...

Hisense are meant to be good, just bought a beko tumble dryer which I'm actually really impressed with so would consider a beko washing machine when mine goes

Hated it, worst machine I ever had, now AEG pro steam, miles better, paid just over £500 very happy, 5 yr warranty too

Would you mind linking the specific model? All the ones I see are more like £700

Not a Samsung!

Why? Tempted to get a samurai. It gets great scores but only a one year guarantee.

I used a Beko washing machine and dryer in a holiday let. Thought they were both excellent.

I'm on my third Zanussi. It's a 10kg load so only gets run a few times a week. They are real workhorses. Looking at the local shop website it came from, the 8kg one is £329. I don't think I paid more than that for mine, a couple of years ago.

I got the Samsung eco bubble and hate it. I e got an engineer coming out as it squeaks constantly, loads take 3 hours sometimes and an hour and a half others. Same setting. Clothes comes out looking faded and are over washed. One load didn’t spin. The controls are unresponsive and annoying. Wish I’d got the Zanussi.
