My Boots opticians do all sizes

Specsavers do smaller. If you click on the descriptions it gives the measurements.

I use the kids section as my fave is so little. Current lens measurement is 45mm

Most opticians do small frames. It’s not a fashion thing - if you have a strong prescription, you need to wear small lenses, otherwise they would be unmanageably thick.

You have to pick from the 'petite' range. I have the same problem, Similar with hats as well

Im not petite in any way, frame or height or anything but nearly everything I have to buy has to be from a petite range, I honestly dont know who they make these things for, from trousers to shirts to glasses, you'd think we're a nation of amazonians or something

I buy from the Teens section and they fit me perfectly.

No info from me but just joining in to agree - I have a strong prescription so need small glasses or the lenses would be hugely thick and the whole thing would weigh a tonne on my face.

The big glasses trend just means there's so much less choice!

I look awful with big glasses but they are definitely the in thing. I got new glasses about 5 months ago and had this chat with the optician! They picked out the handful of small frames they had available for me to look at. I managed to get a red paid and a brown/cream pair but it was slim pickings!

I prefer big as I can see better all around

Waves at Tattle who will love this thread about "I'm so teeny tiny that I need special tiny glasses"

But anyway yes I hate all these ugly orthopaedic Deirdre Barlow glasses that have come back into fashion.

I had new specs recently like the ones you linked. I too have a petite face. I wasn't sure at first but did get used to them after a few days and actually really like them now. I feel much more up to date!

(I do have doubly thinned lenses for my mega-prescripton though)

As someone with a -8 prescription, I can categorically say that for years I managed with the same battered pair of glasses because there was NOTHING new that I could wear! Plus big frames look hideous on my face.

(I got laser eye surgery so now it’s no longer a problem)

I loathe the big frames! I had Specsavers replace the lenses in my 12 year old frames because I spent two hours looking for a new frame and couldn't find ANYTHING that didn't make me gag.

I hate spending so much time on it, but this is how I'm going to look for the next few years. It's important.

I’m -10 prescription with a small face and high cheekbones. Even the smallest glasses touch my cheeks and my current ones end up with make up inside the lenses, crusted on the bottom bit in a line. Really bad glasses leave red welts.

the only thing slightly suitable are very unfashionable rectangle shape, letter box type frames.

i was in specsavers yesterday and noticed they have “small fit” stickers on some frames. They still seemed too big. On a previous visit they had me trying kids frames on. Still can’t find anything.

Do the people who buy big frames have them resting on their cheeks? Do they not find this uncomfortable?

Got new glasses today and I hate them, far too big for my face and they were about the smallest the shop had. They are these ones https://www.visionexpress.com/glasses/Ralph-by-Ralph-Lauren-RA-7020-599/805289395454

Do smaller ones actually exist anymore? Why are they all soo big?

A decent optician wouldn’t sell you glasses that are too big for your face. My optician has staff trained in helping you select the right pair for your face. DH didn’t even look in a mirror - just let them sort it out for him

I got some from Glasses Direct - cheapish and properly proportioned so I don't look like I've had my whole face glazed. I'd love some some prescription Oakleys for running/cycling that aren't shoulder-width and don't catch on my shoes but alas they only cater for the huge of face. Sort it out Oakley Hmm

I usually get my glasses online but went to specsavers recently to have a look and was so bored by their selections - just a bunch of the same colours, shapes and sizes at various prices. Very uninspiring and boring - I’ve ordered from an American site Fytoo who have a great range - just upload your prescription

Before t(e big glasses trend I had the opposite problem. Varifocals work best woth a large lens surface, plus I need light reactive glasses and small ones make matters worse as too much unfiltered light gets in. In my experience, opticians carry all sizes regardless of fashion for exactly those practical reasons.

Either you lot have pin heads or I have a giant Lego head. I find most glasses look too small on my face.

Just fashion - I've been wearing glasses since the 1980s, they go big, then small, square, then round ...

Have you looked at children's frames - they tend to be smaller.
