What do you buy for a woman who doesn't want or need anything

The woman is me. My birthday is coming up (not a big one) and my DH is asking me what I'd like. We tend to just tell each other so it's something wanted. I genuinely can't think of a thing this year and actually get fed up of just having 'stuff' around cluttering up the house. Any ideas?

Nothing is an option.

I'm the same. There's really nothing I want or need so I just don't see the point of trying to think of something people can buy me just so they can buy me something.

I tend to go for consumables so nice big leaf loose tea, or a good roast coffee or artisan chocolates.
I always welcome flowers.
But from a loved one on a special birthday a donation to a favourite charity (maybe your name on a RNLI lifeboat?) or adopt an animal. I would welcome someone adopting a Dik Dik at the local zoo.

Any Experience thing you want

don’t get stuff for the sake of it

I always want ...
a goat for an African entrepeneur(ess)
Textbooks for kids in poor countries
20 hours of teacher training
& whatever else in the Oxfam catalogue

No one ever buys me those things. Narks me so much that they get me "stuff" instead. Like socks & moisturiser.

I have settled for neckbuffs and car washes, instead.

Add toilet twinning to your list. That seems to be the sort of thing that all good stuff hating Mumsnetters would love.

A zookeeper experience.

Just tell him you don't want anything. I've not had a present for years and it doesn't bother me. I mean what's the point if you genuinely have everything you need.
If people insist then I'll say buy me a book as I'm an avid reader. You might like music or art, find something that you like, it needn't be expensive

Somebody mentioned car washes - now a full gleaming car valet that I didn't have to organise would be a wonderful gift!
