Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just finishing my first cuppa of the day & boiling the kettle to make a coffee. The washer's on already, and on it's second spin, and I've had a tidy round. There's last night's pots to be done and a second wash load - the pots will be someone else's job!

I'm having a tooth out this morning, before starting another medication...just how I want to spend my Saturday morning 😥 Not sure what else I'll do today - suppose that depends how painful the tooth coming out is 🤷‍♀️. I'd like to get the rest of the bead tassels on my jacket for the Eras Tour & pick up a parcel from round the corner.

The girls are off into town to see if they can find reduced cowboy boots in Primarni for dd2 to wear to the Eras Tour - her skirt arrived yesterday & she's
getting excited now 😊 She's never been to a concert before. Dd1 asked for...something...while they're there but I cannot remember what it was. It may well have been a charger wire - she seems to eat those!

Later on, tea will probably be a help yourself affair - I've already told them I'm making something soft for myself, & no-one's bothered to look and see what there is to be had. I suspect noodles and toasties will be what they have.

Probably an early one for me tonight - I'll either read some more of my book or solve some more Murdle puzzles first. I'm stuck on a puzzle atm so haven't picked Murdle up this week 🙈 Maybe tonight's the night I'll get it!

Taking it easy today. Been to the library and done the washing. Might go for a walk this afternoon if the rain ever stops. Having pea and ham soup and crusty bread for lunch. Tea will be something from the freezer and then a nice glass of wine in front of the TV with DH.

Tooth extraction was exceptionally fast! I was in for maybe 15-20 mins, including me asking random questions, numbing it, writing a prescription and sick note. I expected to be a while longer than that!

Been for a luke-warm coffee and wander round a garden centre with my dad, out again to collect prescription & a tin of "just in case" soup, and now I'm going to put my slippers on and chill with my Eras jacket & beads 😊

Good afternoon lucysmam & everyone - late to the thread today. I didn’t get up until 10.30. Had quite a few lie ins lately which is usually unheard of. Haven’t achieved much yet. I did a top up shop at Tescos, realised I’d left my debit card in the handbag I used last night & had to drive home again. Yesterday I’d scanned all my shopping at Asda then realised I hadn’t got my purse! The traffic is really bad at the mo & the very soggy weather definitely doesn’t help! Working a late shift then a Thai ready meal for tea. DH is collecting DD15 from her GF’s & will have filled ravioli with tomato & basil sauce when they get home. DD will have eaten at her GF’s.

We were up early and finished painting our bedroom, moved onto the study after lunch and cleared it out ready to start painting sometime in the week. We're onto our sixth room since Xmas. The house looks so much fresher. Going away in two weeks so would like the study finished before we go.
DS1 coming home on a spur of the moment visit from uni and wants me to read his dissertation! Tomorrow we are all off to York to see DS2. First time all together since Xmas so excited for that!
I've got a chicken in the oven to make risotto for tea. Might sneak a quick walk in before DS1 lands at the train station if it stops raining.

DD2 has made a delicious Victoria sponge cake from scratch so we've all had a slice of that with some coffee. She's now upstairs playing Minnecraft with a friend from school on the same server.

DD1 has gone out with DH to get her Chromebook to begin fully revising for her GCSEs. We've got a lot of the GCSE books en route from Amazon so she's going to get everything set up so she's ready to go for note taking etc today.

DH is spending the rest of the day in the shed carving a new project and I'm going to have a lazy day at home with the dog who's hurt his back and catch up on some TV.

Packing to go and see my grandchild for the first time! ☺️

Afternoon all! Busy morning here - DH was up and out to his team's football match early only to find the match was called off when he got there (over an hour away). He's out watching the football this afternoon with FIL so they got there super early.
I took DS2 to his football match which was very cold and muddy, and then we had cheese toasties for lunch. DS1 is in bed, gaming and trying to shake off a cold. DS2 and I are about to do a bit more of his puzzle, it's similar to a Where's Wally type thing, and it's really difficult. We started it before Christmas  I need to make a cuppa first though.
A chilled afternoon, pizza and chips for dinner in front of gladiators and an early night as we are all tired after a busy week.

Hi, all. Chilled day here after a crazy week.
Took DD1 to her drama club this morning then went and visited my parents with DD2 and had a catch-up.
Home for lunch and now I’m WFH while the kids and DH potter around downstairs. We’re having a stir fry with tofu later and watching a film… with tea and chocolate :)
