Good Morning Mumsnet! What's Everyone Up To Today?

I've just made my first cuppa of the day & am about to drink it in my kitchen spot. The window's open to let some fresh air in & it'a looking like a lovely day out there.

I'll get the washer going in a mo so the washing can go on the line.

Dd1's up and out already! She's off to an open day at York Uni, she met up with a friend from secondary school to travel, and there are a few of her college friends going too.

I'm not sure if me and dd2 are doing anything yet...my feet are aching after this week! I've been to all sorts of extra things after work, mainly on foot, & I don't think I want to walk any more.

That said, she did mention going for a wander at a local shopping outlet earlier on. So we'll see when she gets up whether she still wants to go. We can always bus straight there and back again.

If not, I have a dress to pin, bag to repair, and want to carry on adding beads to my Eras Tour jacket. Or I'll see if my dad fancies a drive out to the outlet maybe, he wanted to nip to the garden centre of the B&M so could probably be persuaded 🤔

No idea what's for tea, something quick and easy - what are you all having?

Shattered already, set off early. Keys to relative's didn't work so had to do a round taxi trip to pick up a copy.

Off shopping when I've caught my breath for shampoo, D3+K2, farm shop, post office, crab sandwich, red nail polish.

Tonight I'm watching Spiral and will probably be in bed quite early.

Our lovely elderly dog died in the night so I'm sitting with a coffee dreading our eldest dd waking up and having to tell her 😭. After we have done the nessacery we will take DC out somewhere and try to cheer us all up.

DC with their Dad this weekend. Walked home from my DMs this morning after having a few glasses of wine last night 😅
Having a spring clean and going to change all the beds. Got loads of washing to do but I've got no washing liquid so I'll have to walk up and get my car from the pub later and buy some then.
Will be watching the rugby and having a Hotpot for dinner. Saturday night takeaway is back!!
Tomorrow I'm off to see best friend and his baby in the morning and then I think I'll come back and watch a film.

DH is away so going on a ten mile hike/natter with a friend. Will have a long soak in the bath when I get home then I'm hoping someone will invite me to the pub 😂

Just back from Parkrun. I volunteered as course checker this morning so have already clocked up 7 miles today.
Just off for a nice soak in the bath and a bit of housework.
I need some walking poles for my upcoming Italy holiday so may pop out later to see if I can find some.

2nd wash on, first one blowing in the sun on a sunny but breezy day here on the.Costa Blanca. Husband has been prepping a large window grille ready for painting and we are currently enjoying a coffee on the balcony and swapping messages with our son back home in the UK. Later meeting friends for drinks before we are all going to an Italian restaurant. Can think of worse ways to spend a Saturday in February and appreciate how lucky we are to get away from the weather at home 😁

@48wheaties Just added chocolate chip muffin ingredients to our shopping list and will stop off on the way home from the cinema

Hi @lucysmam and everyone here. Im still in bed as usual after my tea and toast. It looks dry out today so hopefully get a nice walk. Dont know whats for dinner, i need to go shopping

I’m having a gorgeous lazy morning. Finished my book in bed with a cup of tea and just about to have a steaming hot bubble bath with a cappuccino, classical music and my magazine. DD2’s football was cancelled due to pitch flooding and I could not have been happier 😂.
I’ve also ran around the house tidying and cleaning as I went so all candles lit and a lovely cosy vibe.
DD1 still in bed despite announcing last night she would be going to the gym at 8am!
Need to go out after lunch for a few toiletries/household things I couldn’t get in Aldi last night.
Then will visit my Dad as he’s had a minor operation. I went to visit him last night in hospital but he’s hopefully getting discharged today - although Doctor’s stroke so I’m worried they’ll keep him in another night.

Home for pizza and a film.

Morning everyone. Well we're at the end of half term here and it's flown. OH unfortunately, ended up with covid 🤦‍♀️

I'm on my 3rd cup of coffee whilst waiting to wash my hair dye out. (Hate dying my hair, but needs must). OH is feeling better today, but doesn't want to chance going out, so we're going to have a Chinese with the boys tonight and watch a film altogether. In between need to put some washes on and tidy up abit. Hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday 🙂

Good morning @lucysmam and all, it’s a lovely sunny morning here and the dog and I have just got back from a walk, she’s snoozing on the hearth rug in the sun while I try to summon up the oomph to tidy the freezer 😵‍💫. It’s jammed full because DH is of the ‘open the door and ram it in’ persuasion 🙄
I have a batch of dog treats in the dehydrator and I will need to freeze most of them.
The washing machine is on its second load, if the washing line wasn’t in the shade at this time of year I would hang it out 🤷🏼‍♀️
Nothing else planned, will just see how the day and weekend goes.

I've been pottering this morning. I did a wash load and hung it up, the other lot has been folded and put in the stairs (where some of it will probably live for the next few days). Made some bread, unpacked the shopping, hoovered and cleaned some floors, moaned at the husband for not pulling his weight. We're off out this afternoon to see a show with our youngest then takeaway for tea later.

DH is at work then football. Booked a trip to Rome yesterday (for football although I won't be going to the match). So I've spent this morning liaising on the group chat to arrange a guided tour of the Colosseum which I've just booked.

About to pop out to pick up a couple of online orders from the local shop then I really must do some housework. No plans for this evening. Dinner will probably be toasted sandwiches depending on when DH gets home.

Morning lucysmam & everyone. I’ve been really poorly with a virus & am actually feeling much more human today, thank goodness. Up early to take DD15 & her GF to the charity shop as they’d spotted a leather look jacket the other day & DD wanted to buy it. Back home, they had tinned soup for breakfast! As you do! Really staggered by the amount they ate yesterday! They put “ Friday Night Dinner” on which I’d never seen & it was hilarious! Also really good to have a laugh with the girls. Finished loading the dishwasher & put it on & doing a load of washing - the sun is shining so will hopefully get it on the line. DD & GF have been collected to stay at GF’s so I’m going to tidy round. Just eating cold pizza ( really yummy ham, garlic mushrooms & mozzarella) whilst watching Saturday Kitchen on the I Player. Will probably go for a walk this afternoon & need to order DSIL’s birthday pressie online. Steak pie with double cream mash & petitpois for tea. Might watch a film tonight.
