Mine was inspired by the poster who thought the ABBA song Fernando had the line "They were shining there for you and me
For liberty, Fernando" and though it was Lee Bertie who was someone special in their life 😄

It's the punchline of one of my favourite jokes, and also I really love tea. Most of my previous usernames have been related to knitting or fantasy books/films. Except the one that was related to a brief crush on a character in a tv series Blush.

SquirrelsAssemble · 14/02/2024 16:25

I run a Squirrel Scout section😍

It's my dream that one day I shout this and they stop shouting & running in circles & line up.

Ooh! I love this idea! I'm going to work on it with my Squirrel group!

I just liked the name Tabitha and thought it went well with Bean which is a nickname for my little 'un.

Mmmmmmmm food.

whatisforteamum · 14/02/2024 17:32

Kids always asking

MrsPerfect12 · 14/02/2024 17:33

My husband used to call me Mrs Perfect in the early days....not so much now 😂

spiderlight · 14/02/2024 17:35

A phrase from 'The Snow Spider' by Jenny Nimmo, which I was reading when I first joined MN - a dear friend had bought it for me when I told him I was pregnant because it was his favourite book as a child.

Claricestarling1 · 14/02/2024 17:44

I like Silence of the Lambs and Clarice is a strong, inspiring character who has lots of hang ups and flaws but still kicks ass with her brains..like me 😉

FasterthanaButteredOtter · 14/02/2024 17:48

I just heard it somewhere and the image in my head made me laugh.

I name change fairly often and usually to some random phrase I've just read/heard in the last few days that has stuck.

I do like reading everyone's choices.

WhatsYourDamageHeather · 14/02/2024 17:53

Heathers. Nuff said.

fightingthedogforadonut · 14/02/2024 17:53

Mine is after a particularly humiliating episode in the park. My dog scavenged a discarded Greggs paper bag with chocolatey leftovers. Very bad for dogs. A tug of war ensued...

fightingthedogforadonut · 14/02/2024 17:54

@FasterthanaButteredOtter

And now the image is stuck in MY head 😂😂😂

IamaRevenant · 14/02/2024 17:57

One of my favourite ever songs (by the Distillers, one of my favourite ever bands)

Also refers to the number of times I have been on the brink of death for various reasons and have always managed to make it back, like a revenant 😊

dollybird · 14/02/2024 17:59

Partly my dad's nickname for me as a girl.

BeADinosaur · 14/02/2024 18:00

Always be yourself.

Unless you can be a dinosaur...then be a fucking dinosaur!!!

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 14/02/2024 18:01

Lloyd Braun from Seinfeld

GeniusLevelJaffaCake · 14/02/2024 18:01

I'm a regular name changer. I'm usually inspired by a thread that I've just read. My last name change only happened earlier today and my inspiration was a poster describing their SIL as having "the IQ of a Jaffa Cake".

KathieFerrars · 14/02/2024 18:02

Chalet School teacher.

WinterLobelia · 14/02/2024 18:02

I was looking for a user name and my eye settled on the pots of lobelia I’d bought. Now I do seasonal name changes but always with lobelia in it. There is another lobelia around and it always gives me a start. I also once did a Japanese inspired random user name that ends up being two letters different from a much longer standing poster through sheer coincidence. I stopped using that one as soon as I realised.

chocolatelover91 · 14/02/2024 18:03

Just a girl who loves chocolate born in 1991 😍🍫

Coconutter24 · 14/02/2024 18:04

I was drinking a coconut latte when I made it and the number I was thinking about the year we were heading into

CatherinedeBourgh · 14/02/2024 18:06

I’m the only one in my family who doesn’t play the piano, but of course I helpfully comment on their practice and would have been a delightful performer if I had played…

itsallabitofamystery · 14/02/2024 18:07

My daughter has been seriously ill, doctors are at a total loss as to what it is. Came on here to ask if anyone had any similar experiences. No one did. Can't be bothered to change my name. Were 18 months down the line and no diagnosis, but thankfully she's not as ill as she was.

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 14/02/2024 18:08

I shredded some important, irreplaceable, documents once. It'll come to light eventually, and I've no idea how I'll deal with it.
I'll probably change once the secret's out - if I live to tell the tale.

foxlover47 · 14/02/2024 18:08

Just my fave animal and my age when I rejoined ... 49 now 🦊
