Except for the fact that the phrase "take on me" makes no sense!

There are too many wonderful pop songs but "This Charming Man" makes me wish I was 13-years-old again and dancing around my bedroom.

Taking everyone waaay back but I was listening to Be My Baby by The Ronettes today. There's another perfect pop song.

Weren't they gorgeous too? I was dating Dave Stewart's sound engineer and had dinner at his house one night. There I was, sat at a kitchen table with Dave Stewart, Siobhan Fahey, my then boyfriend, their kids running around. It's way back when. But Siobhan Fahey was so utterly beautiful. She just had such an aura and a presence. I was mute the entire evening.

I'm torn... I love this but it's not an upbeat pop song for me, just a beautiful one. I had this played on a string quartet at my wedding. It was a real goosebumps moment.

When it comes to pop songs I think my absolute favourite is mmmbop !! Reminds me of when I was 14 and happy and actually now I can really appreciate the sentiment (and how it was written by kids ??!! ) but it’s so upbeat I just love it

I would never be able to pick 'the best', but Take On Me is definitely up there. And Morten is so beautiful to look at, even more so now. I honestly don't care whether the lyrics make sense or not, as long as I get a sense of them. Well, I know what I mean ...😆😆
