Name fashion - guess my age

We all know certain names date people to certain decades.

So I wondered, in the spirit of retro names etc, if you can guess my age by my grandparents’ names.

They were called:

Elizabeth
Jane
John
Allan

I’m mid 50’s and my parents were Elizabeth and Allan.

Those names were all very popular for a very long time though, decades. Hence why it doesn’t work. Even in the 80s and beyond those names were common, particularly Elizabeth.

if you’d come on and said their names were things like Doris, or Mavis. Or Reginald it would have been names that would have been more in keeping with your thought process.

Grandparents? Then I'd say you were around 50.

My grandparents had common names that could be any age. Nobody would bat an eyelid at their full names if they were 100/80/60/40/20/5 yrs old.

One had a name that isn't used much nowadays but it's still used, and it would probably be more remarkable that there was no middle name.

Mid 50s?

My grandparents were called:-

Henry
Esther
William

Early 60s?

Mine were Amy, Frank, Ellen and William.
