Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just about to drink my first cuppa of the day, curled up in my kitchen spot. It looks quite grey outside so I won't be moving for a while.

The washer's on for it's first load and there's a second sorted for when that's done. There's also a bit of dry washing on the radiator to fold when I get to it. Other than that, I don't plan to do much around the house today.

We're off for a wander round a local shopping outlet today - I want to nip in the B&M and make-up shops out there. We might get the bus to the big Asda & call into McDonald's for a hot drink, to walk round the lake with, to get there I think.

I'm leaving a stew in the slow cooker for the day, for when we get in, & will cook some part baked rolls to go with it 😋 Hopefully there'll be enough for tomorrow too! I'll have a glass of wine with mine.

Later on I'll pick up my book, or Murdle (still struggling with puzzle 39) & dd2 will probably play with whatever make up she picks today. Dd1 will probably play games online with a boy she likes 😊

What about all of you? 🙂

I think a card would probably be great!

Afternoon everyone 🙂
We were up reasonably early for DS first ever cross country meet and then coffee with his godmother (who had come along to watch, to convince him to give it a go!) So we've had a little trek around the park to cheer him on.
Home now under a blanket watching pirates of the carribean, he'll make a start on his homework.
DD is kindly sorting out the bookshelf that exH brought up for me so I have all my books back. I've watched so much television in the last few months. Can't wait to have a good read.

Having said that, the rugby starts in a little while so I will be watching that today, in between washing and cooking chicken burgers for tea and Gladiators.

Tomorrow we have a birthday party in the morning and a curry for dinner. Hoping to just play a few games/reading for all of us and relax.

Afternoon all, it's DH's birthday today but he's not well so it's a very quiet one. We were at the hospital all Thursday night and all day yesterday so we're both tired.

Took DS2 to his football match this morning. Came home and made some lunch, and now sitting on the sofa under my blanket half watching the Spurs match on tv. There's rugby on this afternoon so I'll probably half-watch that too. Planning on drinking lots of tea as well. DS1 is gaming upstairs, DS2 is playing with a basketball game thing.

Looking forward to Gladiators later on. We were meant to be going out for dinner but DH doesn't feel up to it, so we'll go when he's feeling better. I'll make a spag bol later on. Early nights all round here I think.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Love these threads.
I got up.. made a cuppa and warmed a croissant in airfryer.. had jam on it.
Fed the cat.
Booked car hire for our holiday to the Canaries in six weeks time.
My nurse called to check my stoma.. had some infection .
I took washing out of tumbler and put away.
Emptied dishwasher .
Had my shower ( just ordered a new shower chair .. for my wet room).
Going out for meal tonight..
Now laid in bed with cat watching telly and scrolling on phone..

Carrying on doing the laundry here!

Just thinking about what I need from the shops. Planning to do Thai green curry later with Thai salad and spicy crackers. But will also pick up stuff for instant pot beef stew tomorrow. Thinking of using lots of root vegetables etc. I love to make food, make lists for food and drink tea while thinking about it. Smile

Spent the morning at softplay, used it as an opportunity to get a few pages of my book in!

Then stopped at Nando's for lunch

Just got home and ds has crashed on the sofa, so will catch up on some housework.

Will nip out later to get some bits for dinner, thinking either fish pie or salmon rice and broccoli.

Going to have a bath and little pamper this evening because I have a feeling I'm going to go into labour in the next few days!

Afternoon all!

We were all up early this morning, DP took the dog out and I took DS1 to football training. He went home with his friend and is at a football match this afternoon. DS2 got picked up by his friend’s mum this morning and he’s hanging out over there and then going to his dads so unusually we are kid free today.

We’ve gone to B&Q and picked up the wood etc for the bar in the garden room, come back and had Thai chicken and sweet potato soup for lunch and now DP is doing the cladding on the back wall of the garden room and I’m trying to watch the rugby but he keeps coming to get me to hold things so I’m ‘up and down like a whore’s drawers’ at the moment!

Trying to decide what to make for dinner, we’re trying to be healthy but I still want a bit of a treat.

@Wendysfriend I've just seen you asked for your post to be deleted! Absolutely not just a "regulars" thread, although many are! Feel free to join in 😊
