Where in England would you go for 6 weeks !

interested to see where others would choose.
we have had an awful year and it’s not set to improve anytime soon.
we live in London and I honestly do love it but I need a break from it all.
so my plan is to pack the kids and dog up and rent a air bnb house for the 6 weeks summer holiday and stay there.
where would you choose ?

Northumberland so you have beaches, castles, Roman ruins, Newcastle not too far, or the Lakes if you’re into bracing walks, waterfalls, National Trust places and rain.

@Flossflower there are so many places and the majority of it is beautiful! Anywhere costal, lindesfarne, Bamburgh, Berwick. Alnwick and Rothbury are beautiful as well.

Northern Ireland? You could stay in Belfast and have loads of day trips within 1.5 hours drive. North Antrim coast, Mourne mountains, Sperrin. Lots of nice places in Belfast alone for the dc.
