Bath or shower debate

Can you settle a debate? We are refurbing a bathroom in a holiday let. Dp thinks it should be bath with shower over. I think walk in shower all the way. Agent suggests double shower!!!
It's a dinky cottage.

I think you need to consider the demographic of your clientele. Some people prefer a walk in shower for ease and safety. Baths can be slippery, so non slip mats are useful.

I wouldn’t want somewhere that only had an over bath shower.

I would go for a shower in terms of it being more practical. If it was for my own home rather than a holiday let my answer would be a bath. But I have taken account of the OP's criteria here.

Walk-in shower.

I don't think many people would especially want baths while on holiday. Showers over baths are always fiddly, and some people struggle to work out how to switch the taps from bath to shower (and it's something else to break). You'll get a high-quality shower for the cost of a combined bath/basic shower.

Also, having to climb over the side of a bath to have a shower will exclude a lot of potential customers with mobility issues.

Couples holiday let is the one time I would actually want or have time to a bath. A nice wide one please. With a shower on a hose over the top which is height adjustable.

Bath with shower. I wouldn't book somewhere without both. But they should both be usable. Have stayed in places with the MOST uncomfortable baths. Or where the shower is too short compared to where you need to stand in the bath. Make sure you try them out!

Loads of people want baths while on holiday as evidenced by this thread. I definitely do! More likely to have a bath on holiday when I can have the time to relax and enjoy it.

I also don't understand how baths over showers are "fiddly". I have one at home and in my last house. You get in and turn it on. The controls are exactly the same as for a standalone shower!

A lot of showers over baths have their controls/knobs on the taps and they can be fiddly.
