Whu · 15/01/2024 06:51

I think lots of people are missing the ‘thing you have never tried’ part Grin.

For me it’s:
Caving or anything tight underground.
Organised group holidays
Anything to do with right wing political parties
Scuba diving
Space travel
Climbing Everest
Bongo Bingo
Cruises

AltheaFuckYou · 15/01/2024 06:59

Marriage
Beer Pong

RainbowZebraWarrior · 15/01/2024 07:21

AltheaFuckYou · 15/01/2024 06:59

Marriage
Beer Pong

God, yeah. Beer Pong. There's actual drinks in the cups which you have to drink after a manky ping pong ball lands in it? Fuck that.

Also agree with Marriage, but unfortunately I'm in the 'Tried that once but I didn't like it' control group.

sashh · 15/01/2024 07:39

Dubai
climbing
sailing
cruising - most look like butlins at sea. At least if you go to Butlins you can go elsewhere.

RadiatorHead · 15/01/2024 07:54

Skiing
Skydiving
Going in one of those shark tanks to look
at sharks
Ballet- doing it. Would probably enjoy watching it judging by the enthusiasm of Lewis Litt from Suits.

LubaLuca · 15/01/2024 07:57

Potholing.

dressedforcomfort · 15/01/2024 08:25

Skiing
Disneyland (probably Florida in general tbh)
Oysters
Caving/potholing

Morningmeeting · 15/01/2024 08:31

So glad to hear someone else saying Escape rooms!

Skiing. I don’t like falling.

A ‘girly’ holiday. Don’t like getting wasted or late nights.

Dubai. It’s built by labourers who are practically enslaved. Shame on all the middle class westerners who holiday there. You are benefitting from and rewarding that modern day slavery.

ChinaInYourHands · 15/01/2024 09:23

Gaming

SiobhanSharpe · 15/01/2024 09:33

"Reality" tv shows, big brother, the only way is essex etc. Never seen them.
Hiking, rambling, fell walking. Most types of walking.
Animal documentaries where there is always some kind of threat or peril to the creatures. I actually saw one where walruses were so crowded on a tiny, high and craggy island (due to global warming) that they kept falling to their deaths. Awful. Watched it despite my instincts and should not have done, ever.

WhisperGold · 15/01/2024 09:52

I knew I'd hate Las Vegas!
Loved it.

getofftheplane · 15/01/2024 09:55

Goinoutalone · 14/01/2024 08:00

Skiing
snowboarding
steak tartar
smoking

Sounds like my perfect day tbh

TinderTime · 15/01/2024 10:36

Ice Baths
Tripe
Surfing the Bore

Saschka · 15/01/2024 10:45

Caving - walking through a cavern, fine, but once you get into this sort of stuff I just think “of course you got stuck and died in there, I’m only surprised you were the first”.

Dubai. Just cannot see the point, plus all the ethical issues.

Cruising - again just can’t see the point, just stay in a decent resort and it will have better facilities, without the risk of seasickness or norovirus.

Dad suffers 'worst death imaginable' after becoming trapped upside down in cave

Experienced spelunker and medical student John Edward Jones was exploring Nutty Putty Cave with friends when tragedy struck.

Yep I thought it was brilliant. A lot like Disney. I did no gambling, just walked around looking at the crazy architecture.

The Grand Canyon and the rest of the national parks around there are spectacular though - worth going even if you hate the city.

lesdeluges · 15/01/2024 11:31

Holidays on a sunbed by the pool. Like a smear test in a bikini with an audience.

Enforced fun and jollity of any description.

Skiing and similar terrifying winter sports
