Time to put bleach down the toilets. Part of me sometimes feels sorry for those germs

Exactly that really. Gonna put bleach down the toilets before bed. Not been done since Sunday. Those germs are probably minding their own business not knowing the bleach is coming for them. Sometimes feel sorry for those little blighters.

Agree about the fb posts.

There is a giraffe in our local co op.

It has the worn, dog eared loved look about it but it has been in the window for about four weeks. I hate the thought of it longing for its owner.

Na I'm not having stinging nettles put on the same tier as daisy's. Yeah they might have their purpose but stinging nettles are unforgiving twats.

Four weeks? Poor giraffe 🙁

Even stinging nettles are getting more sympathy on here now than those germs 😁

Sunshineandrainbows23 · 12/01/2024 20:44

Ahh yes stinging nettles! I dig them up but they get replanted in their own pot for the caterpillars/butterflies!

Emily1583 · 12/01/2024 20:44

Yeah I wasn't expecting much sympathy for those germs 😆 currently having a bath glancing at the loo feeling a bit guilty about them now.

What is it with the love in for stinging nettles?! Repotting them? Never heard of such a thing. Nice for the creepy crawlies though yes.

The stings protect the caterpillars and mean we get beautiful butterflies. 😇

I wear odd gloves for a reason OP.

Lol. Love it. I thought it was just me! 😂

Never an issue for me as bleach free house due to septic tank. Not being on the mains has its ecological (and financial) benefits.

Emily1583 · 12/01/2024 21:13

Ah fairplay. Are there like special household cleaning products you have to use for septic tanks then?

I'm going to take over this silly country and my first law is this, federating everyone's lost property department into this new organisation:

The National Lost Property Service. It'll be the eBay of lost property, and no-one will be allowed to use any other system so everyone knows where to find their lost items. It's exhausting, retracing steps, wondering which of the many places or streets you may lost your precious items. With so many lost items the charge for reuniting lost items with their owner can't be too many pennies or pounds

No more homeless teddies sleeping on the street, hanging off railings in the rain or sitting on dusty shelves in the basement ... or any other lost item

I've been taught that if you've got a septic tank you want some known germs to be working away.

upinaballoon · 12/01/2024 22:53

Are there any lawn mowers that cut about a foot high? If not, please could someone invent one?

natlie77 · 14/01/2024 07:24

I knew a women needless to say I declined her offer of tea and a play date for my daughter when I noted that the floor was the official rubbish bin. Maybe she felt sorry for it all having to be contained

Nitgel · 14/01/2024 07:32

I used to tell my son his uneaten vegetables would be sad to not be able to fulfil their destiny.

I like this thread.

Or when you drop one on the floor when preparing food.

OP, do you remember this advert (might upset you Grin)?

Domestos

My Mum won’t say anything negative about her car whilst in it or "in earshot of her" 🤓

Years ago I read somewhere that somebody made sure she got every single baked bean out of the tin because she worried about the odd baked bean that gets left at the bottom of the tin not fulfilling it's beany destiny and I think about that often.

They're the lucky bean. They don't get chewed up and farted out

I think I do remember that advert actually 😆 Poor little germie. His scream and the way he melted as the bleach got him! 😯 Have to confess however the bleach bottle did another attack in both loos here again this morning 😬 Mum was visiting so I felt duty bound to have clean loos for her visit 🫤
