i wish they would play one tune, not all this mixture, even classical music would be far better

I always watch the fireworks with the sound on mute, so I missed all this!

It is not ‘completely normal’ inasmuch as this is the first time it was done. In took away from focusing on just the pure celebration of the evening and even ran counter to the espoused idea that London is about everybody being equally important and included. But then I have always thought it unnecessary for a single office / person to lay claim to a significant event and doing so is in bad taste.

We all know who the mayor of London is so he didn’t need to put his name. Even Boris It’s All About Me Johnson did not do this when he was MoL!

And, again IMO, whilst I supported his stand on how badly the Met was being run, Khan is getting more egotistical all the time.
