What's your school start and finish times?

Edinburgh
8.50 to 3.15 Monday to Thursday
8.50 to 12.25 Friday

DS at secondary. Hours are 8.30-2.55

South East here.

Gates open at 8:30, close at 8:45. Register taken at 8:55, lessons start at 9.

DS in Y1 finishes at 3:10.
DD in Y5 finishes at 3:15.

07.45-14.20 for the boys

08.25 - 15.00 for the girls

Same trust, split sites, boys school is new and only reason they got planning was to start early because of local traffic issues

@dementedpixie oh I had heard they were testing that a while ago. I didn't know it was now permanent. Least it's not the primary schools though (well at the moment). Just additional childcare costs for some families.

@gerteddy there are optional activities they can stay for on a Friday afternoon. Some are sporty and some are arty or involve cooking. My ds hasn't stayed for any of them!

Secondary school in London mine is 8:35-3:15 but when they were in primary it was 8:45 - 3pm. My DS finishes early on Fridays at 2:45

I'm in Scotland and every other school in the area has the same times as yours, Op.
Ours is different as it’s RC and they don’t want them getting out at the same time as the other high school.

They can arrive anytime between 8.40 and 9am. After 9 is late.
Finish at 3.15

That edinburgh thing always blows my mind. It would have stressed me the hell out, as a working full time mum! Nice normal 8.55 to 3pm here!

Southeast London primary DS attends 8:55-9:25 but kids can arrive from 8:45. The primary school I teach in is 9 to 3:30.

It was a Wednesday half day when i was in school and im now 32. Im sure some English la do it?

8.30-15.30, regular south London primary school (Academy chain). Have a 2 week autumn half term though.

@OvO Thats funny you say that as we are also rc but the local non rc gets out before we do.
