I think they all look gorgeous with or without makeup. Plus they all have gorgeous skin. I like the more natural makeup looks.

My 16 year old DD. And that really is an objective, not a biased, opinion :) She's so beautiful that people have stopped to comment on it since she was a tiny baby. Even my 18 year old DS (who also has a lovely face) says that his sister 'won the genetic lottery'. I find it fascinating looking at her - everything about her is so perfectly proportioned and symmetrical.

DD does understand and appreciate that she is very lucky to look the way she does, but is not at all vain or big-headed about it - she has always considered being beautiful as something she just 'is' - in the same way that she 'is' tall or 'is' good at writing (and not so good at maths!). She has no self-consciousness about acknowledging her good looks (or any of her other positive or negative attributes), but she never seems to worry about her appearance at all (I suppose because she doesn't need to). Obsessing over how I Iooked took up far too much of my time and energy when I was her age, so DD is very fortunate that it takes up none of hers at all!

I remember watching with my mum a film called Tim - which was released in 1979 but we were watching in about 1986. All the way through we were absolutely agog at the stunning beauty of the man on screen and wondering who an earth he was. As the credits rolled we couldn't believe it was a very young Mel Gibson. My mum was obsessed with him but we didn't recognise him in this film.

Viggo Mortensen is only hot as Aragon, for me. The rest of the.time..meh.

Good shout with Rosamund Pike. Met her years ago at a function and she is just so naturally 'classically' pretty. You just know she could roll out of bed, throw any clothes on and with no make up on take the dog for a walk and still look effortlessly beautiful while stomping through a middy field.

I've always thought Angela Bassett was absolutely stunning- she has an incredible facial structure and I could look at her face for ages its so beautiful

@MariaMeringue It's great your daughter thinks like that as those that rely on genetics alone will usually have their looks fade and they tend not to develop much personality ime as people are drawn to their beauty.
