He wants to be...

An adult.

Honestly, he's an inspiration. I aspire to have big dreams like his one day!

I've had 30 years of adulthood and on balance, I'm still not that keen. Must work out what I want to be instead😏

My 6 year old wanted to be a train driver so that he could take his 16 children to work with him on the train and his wife "could have a life" if there is life after 16 children!

Waitingfordoggo · 17/12/2023 22:35

That’s so cute @furtivetussling 😂

> Mine wanted to be an ice cream van driver, and an archaeologist. Felt comfortable she could handle two jobs at once.

I have a friend who's been on digs in Syria (in more peaceful times). It sounds like really hot, laborious work. I think your girl has invented a great business niche!

I cannot remember my Niece's main job wish but she also wanted to be a part time nurse.

A couple of years ago I watched a year 6 play… so primarily 11 year olds. At the end of the play each child stood in turn and said what their dream was for adulthood….. most wanted to be rich, travel, own a certain type of car, be a utuber, beat some gaming record, be an actress etc….. my daughter stood up and said her wish was to be a Paediatric nurse. I was shocked by how few came out with serious career choices….. but then at that age I’m pretty sure I wanted to a princess 😂😂

When my DS (now 8) was 5, he wanted to be a female builder with a beard.
It evolved over time to include being an adventurer as well. Now he wants to work on the Planet Earth BBC series and travel the Earth looking at amazing things.

Irridescantshimmmer · 20/12/2023 14:17

Aghahahahaah brilliant 🤣🤩😁

UncleHerbie · 20/12/2023 14:17

At five my niece prayed to be 13, tall and to have “boobies”. The lucky thing achieved it all

GMsAWinner · 20/12/2023 14:19

Good news, he's very likely to get his wish.

My DD wanted to be an MP for the Green Party. She actually ended up studying Sustainability and Politics and has a job for an environmental agency. She makes no mention of the Green Party now, but funnily enough her degree and current job would be perfect for it.

KeepSmiling89 · 20/12/2023 14:20

At 5, I wanted to be a bride or a mermaid...I got to be a bride...
...
Maybe when I'm divorced I could be a mermaid!

fishfingersandtoes · 20/12/2023 14:23

Ah, DS aged 2 wanted to be a man.
He's 15 now and it's going pretty well!

Northsideoftheriver · 20/12/2023 14:25

That's so cute OP. When my DD was five she announced to everyone that mum let her watch some adult films. She meant films that are PG that aren't cartoons 😬that was a fun one to explain.

DD wanted to be a ninja when she grew up. Children are so comical.

newtb · 20/12/2023 14:34

Aged about 3 dd wanted to bé a countant. An accountant. Shogrtly After was singing in a barbie World every morning before 7am.

She's now much better paid than an accountant working in bilingual After sales.

She's never have perseveered through thé exams.
