If your baby was 99th percentile - did they become big / tall as they grew up?

I don't care by the way I’m just curious!

my baby is 5.5 months and 99th percentile for weight and probably height but haven’t measured that! She is as big as some 1 year olds 😂

I was 6 weeks premature so not a good comparison but her Dad was a chubby baby apparently… we’re both slim and 5ft 6 / 5ft 11!

We both have short and tall genes in our family though, so she could end up being tall I suppose I just wonder if there’s any correlation?!

I hate to break it to you but you are both tall.

I'd consider them both tall too but I can see how they wouldn't feel it when living with someone who's 6'6!

My two were both big babies, around 9lb. The eldest has generally stuck around the 50th centile since then, though now at age 13 and in year 9 he hasn’t hit puberty and is far shorter than his peers! The younger one is more like 91st centile and much taller for his age. Will be interesting to see how tall they both end up.

I had a really chubby baby with rolls and dimples who is now one of the tallest in the year and skinny as a rake.

Snap here, really chubby baby and now a lanky tall slim teen.

Ds was 98th percentile for height and for weight. He's 6 now and 50th for weight but stayed on 98th percentile for height. Dd1 was on the 0.2 percentile for weight and 91st for height. She's stayed there for height at 7 years old but is now 50th for weight. Dd2 on the other hand was 98th for weight but 5oth for height. She is 2 now and still on the same percentiles.

I'm wider than I am tall, whereas dh is 6ft 2 and slim. I do wonder what they will be like as adults.
