Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just eating breakfast, and waiting for my first cuppa to brew, in my kitchen spot. I have the window flung open & the washer's on already.

Yesterday was a total write off, thanks to what I thought was a hangover, but I feel much the same today, plus have a nothingy cough so maybe partly cold-related too. Dd1 slept much of yesterday too so I'm expecting her to be poorly.

Our plan yesterday was to head to the local shopping outlet and man-made lake for a stomp round there, followed by pizzas so we might do that today. I'll see what the girls say when they're up.

If not, I do need to nip to town for some paracetamols that are the right shape, some varnish and some more glacé cherries to make another Christmas cake.

First though, the house needs a good tidy round! So I'll get on with that for an hour & see if they get up in that time.

Good morning all.
I did all the housework yesterday so it was nice to wake to a lovely clean house. Which is good cos I was up in the middle of the night collecting dd off the bus after her night out & then couldn't go back to sleep til after 4:30am. Woke again at 7:30am and got up at 9am. I'm now dressed & have been to Tesco for a few bits. Home now & having a cuppa on the sofa in quietness. Both kids still in bed.
We have an orange weather warning here for tonight for Storm Debi so will try get a walk in before that kicks in but otherwise no plans.

Its Father's Day here so gave OH his present (Bluey Best Dad t-shirt) and now I'm staring miserably out of the window because it snowed and I need to go do the food shop but I'm new to driving and haven't driven in snow much before and not sure how slippery it is.

DS is trying to play chess, he's developed an obsession with it suddenly so been trying to teach him but I have no energy to play now so he's trying to play by himself.

DD is finally getting up so we can have lunch and watch an episode of Parks and Rec before I go to the shop.

It was my birthday yesterday so today I’m catching up with some jobs
Dropped Dd at work will pick her up at 4.00
Dh is away with work
Put a wash on
I’ve made a banana loaf and now having a coffee whilst watching the Remembrance Service
Its raining here but will need to walk the dog at some point
No cooking today myself , Dd and her Boyfriend are having a Chinese takeaway tonight
Will catch up with some tv later and start my new book

I have just sat down after storming through my house like a tornado sorting and cleaning since I woke up this morning. My annual before the tree goes up sort out. Have booked the tip for next Saturday and have a pile of toys ready to go to our local stay and play groups this week.

Oh is cooking a gammon dinner and my mouth is fucking watering after having skipped breakfast this morning Will be ready in around 20 mins I've been told, very early for us to have our roast but we are off to see family this afternoon.

I scroll this thread while in my towel just showered (not feeling great) thinking of what do with the rest of the day.

@dontforgetme I have the pre-Christmas BIG CLEAN on my calendar for in 2 weekends time!

I'm giving in & going for a nap when this wash is done, while the tea towels wash. My gut is grumbling away ominously <sigh>.

@lucysmam mine is on the calendar for the same time as yours but I woke up with a fire inside this morning and went crazy mom in the kids bedrooms!!

I've had a big tidy and done lots of washing as I as terribly hungover yesterday and other than eat I did very little.

I have a kitchen full of 12-13 year olds making brownies for a school project.

I've had an argument with dh so he is sulking in the office.

Ds 1 and 2 are playing some game on the iPad.

I'm going out for food and drinks and then to watch tired and tested at the Lowrie tonight. Not many laughs round here today so I'm hoping it's just what I need!!!

We've been to mass this morning, then to the newly refurbished playground near my mums house. Had lunch and now DS1 is in my parents back garden kicking a ball about and DS2 is sitting on my lap watching the ipdad. I think he might fall asleep for a bit.

I did end up going for a run and glad I did. Then whilst I was in outdoor stuff I took DD to the park. Now she is chatting to her friends and gaming and I'm going to read my book and do some housework

DH feels a bit better so we have just been for a walk on the beach. Bracing 🌊🌬❄️

I got very cold and wet on an early dog walk, my fault for not putting on more layers, I have just about warmed up 5 hours later. I lit the wood burner, had a hot shower and put on woolly socks.
The dog and I had coffee (me) and a beef roll (mainly her) then had to wait while the regiment marched from the barracks to village. I was absolutely chilled by the time we got home.
DH said he had to wash the car and write in a birthday card so couldn’t possibly do anything else all morning 🙄, just as well he’s now gone out! I have tidied up and finished off the stew for lunch, fed the dog and ordered myself a new warm waterproof coat for dog walking. The one I wore this morning leaked despite being reproofed several times so I guess it’s worn out. It’s years old.
Now I’m starting to feel shivery, I hope I’m not going down with something ☹️
