Bruise on leg?!

Over the years I do sometimes get an ache in my legs when walking a lot (for me - I'm fairly sedentary) . I have in the past had insoles to help with this.

Well the ache is back and just looked at my leg and there's a bruise right where it aches. Any idea why?! I wear leggings a lot and don't look at my legs so hadn't noticed it before.

Any idea what it is? Or one of those things? Will it go away? Is it okay to rub/massage it?

Probably nothing, but go and see your doctor if you're worried. My mum had aches and bruising and tiredness for a long time before she went to the doctor - turned out she had leukemia

this is thoughtless. The op has one tiny bruise. Your mum had ‘aches and bruising and tiredness for a long time’. It’s not comparable

No, I thought about it, and decided to post it anyway. I gave the context. If the op just had "one tiny bruise" she wouldn't have posted about it, but she has aches too. It's probably nothing, but if she's worried it's easy enough to get a quick blood test.

I wish my mum had got her symptoms checked earlier.

Sure @nether an ache after waking a lot noticed after the last few years + one bruise. Logical conclusion = leukaemia

Edited

no, it doesn't "= leukaemia" it = something that needs to be checked, because it could be leukaemia. Most breast lumps aren't cancer, but would you tell someone with that as a symptom not to see their GP? Or someone with change in bowel habits for >3 weeks? Or someone with a cough for >3 weeks? Or any of the other "get it checked" symptoms as published by NHS?

But the previous ache, which has recently returned, plus unexplained bruising, and especially if any of the other symptoms I listed are present, is something that needs a doctor to review (and get a FBC)

The chances are it's not a blood cancer, but those are the early symptoms and should be checked. Always get the serious stuff ruled out (hopefully) at the start

Ok op, the consensus is every time you get a small bruise and have felt aches after a long walk you need a blood test. Sheesh

OP do you have a dishwasher? I frequently walk into the open door on mine! The bruise could have happened some time ago. Obviously go to your GP if you are anxious, though.
