Vinted - do you get aggravated by offers?

Or is it just me?

I'm selling 6 pairs of exercise / yoga pants. All excellent condition think there's only 2 pairs that have actually been worn. Can tell from the photos that there are no faults.

All Nike, Adidas & Reebok, easily £30 per pair to buy new.

I'm asking for £10 for all 6 pairs.

Had several offers of £7... one lady I declined the offer, came back and offered £8, came back & offered £9. Why would I take £9 if I wouldn't take £7 or £8?? Now she's asked me to reserve them until Thursday for her.... fuck right off!!

Is it just me that's like this about offers? I honestly feel insulted and would rather shot them all in the bin. I had to stop doing car boots sales for the same reason. Curious if it's just me and I'm not cut out for selling on.

I don't understand this, if someone offers too low why don't you just make a counter offer of what you do want or repeat that you only want full price? I make offers, a lot of things are overpriced for 2nd hand so I assume they're expecting haggling. Whether once it was £200 RRP is irrelevant to me, I wouldn't ever pay that and you're selling it for far less than that so clearly there's something wrong with it, it's been worn, it may be damaged for all I know. I always start low with the assumption that they will counter it higher. If it's on for £15, I'd offer £9, they'd counter with £12 and I'd buy it. The idea that they'd be so offended by a £9 offer they'd block me sounds crazy, I have no idea whether you've overpriced it or not, maybe it smells, is really bobbly or has shrunk in the wash (I've received items like this more than once). I'm taking more of a risk than you are, just decline if you don't want an offer, why take it so personally

why take it so personally

It's not personal, it's just fucking irritating, more so because it comes in the form of a message...I don't really want to be having a conversation, I put it on for the price I wanted, when I'm shopping if I don't like a price I just don't buy it, I don't start messaging for a lower price, especially on items of clothes on for under £10, who's got time for that! Just different personalities I guess but I wish Vinted had a 'no offers' option, may as well just do Facebook market place.

It annoys me when people send me an offer for 50p less. Just pay the full price!! I tend to list for what I want to sell them for so usually just decline them all unless it has been on for ages.

I get a bit annoyed when I've just listed something at a reasonable price and someone makes an offer straight away. If something has been listed for a while then absolutely fair enough and I usually accept the offer.

I detest the “favourites” button. I’m selling some children’s clothes, nothing expensive, most are up for £1.50 each. Even with post they’re cheap. The phone pings and Vinted tells me ……… has favourited my item. I had an offer yesterday, could I reduce an item by 25p! OFGS! Just buy the bloody item.

No joggers are “worth” £30, whatever name is printed on them.

I'm generally happy to take an offer if it's sensible. I'm listing things because I don't want or need them anymore, but I do get a bit wound up by people offering £3 on a £4 jumper when it's been on for half an hour. That said....it's then the gamble of offloading it vs still having it listed a week later.

Exactly this. It's like they have to get money off no matter what the price or how reasonable or low it is. They have to feel that they have got one up on you or done you down.

You could list it for 10p, they'd offer 5p. If you listed it for free they'd probably message you asking if you've got any other freebies you could include.

Chancers and scroungers.
