I've never felt more middle-aged

I'm having a little cry in the bath because my teenagers (though lovely) don't want to spend time with me in half term any more and now my varifocals are steamed up.

I'm old now, right?!

Did you fall over or 'have a fall'. This is key...

Hope you're ok.

😁

I felt really old the other day when a kid in the street said to his friend ‘move over, you’re blocking that old lady’s path’. I’m only early 50s.

That’s nothing. I saw a photo of a side view of a woman next to my son. I thought, whose Gran is that with DS1? Then realised it was me…..

I loved it when my dses left me alone, it’s bliss🤣

My most middle aged moment has been falling over. I fell so heavily, physically couldn’t get up for a little while and lots of people stopped to help. Most humiliating and I’m still suffering months later😳

I have fallen plenty of times before but this felt like a pivotal moment when falling became something serious. I had so many injuries! My arm and shoulder are still not right.

Your mistake is in assuming that his is permanent. It's not. It's just another phase whilst they spread their wings a bit. In a few more years they will be happy to hang around again.
