Cost of a pint of lime a soda?

I was in a pub yesterday, for the lime and soda on the round (for my nephew who doesn’t drink alcohol), went back for it which is how I know how much it cost.
How much would it cost in your local?
In mine, they’d usually give it to you for free but I wasn’t at my local!!
Before anyone comes on to tell me I shouldn’t expect anything for free/col meaning they need to charge/someone has to serve, collect the glasses and wash the glass etc, I’m aware of those things and didn’t expect it for nothing. I was just surprised as at our local they’d not charge for it if part of a round.
It was lime cordial and then soda from a gun, not bottled. No ice or fresh wedge of lime.

It cost 10p in Manchester Wetherspoons last week. They only charge for the splash of cordial.

In my village, it would be about £2.90

In the exact same pub, 20p, £1 or £1.40 depending on who rings it through. I never like to argue over the cost because I don’t know what it should really be!

I paid £4.50 (twice!) at a pub recently with a meal. It was on a tab and I didn’t realise how horrifically expensive it was! I was pretty pissed off about that tbh.

50p for a half pint, so I guess £1 for a pint, but I would not know for sure because I am a lady and therefore go for the dainty option Grin

I once (grudgingly) paid £3.50 for a lime and soda at a pub in Highbury, London. This was nearly 15 years ago and I asked the barmaid if she was joking, given that pints of beer were around £3.50-£4 then. It was 40p in my [London] local at the time. She was not joking and we didn't go back to that pub again. Cordial and fizzy water from the gun, per a PP. Fucking ridiculous.

30p in a pub near me or in the centre of Worcester it was £2 bastard quid!!!!!
I think 75p could be a compromise.

In 2015 when I worked behind a bar it was 70p for half pint and 1.40 for a pint. Same price as a squash

I'd have thought about £1-ish but haven't ordered one in years. To be fair, pubs aren't there to provide a social space for people who don't bring them any profit.

£1 at my local. Free at the last Wetherspoons I went in, which made me hate them a bit less.

To the PPs pointing out that pubs aren't there to provide you with cut price water: well no, but customer goodwill is a precious thing. If I'm spending £5 a pint in your pub for 11 months of the year, it would be a bit foolish to damage that goodwill by charging me £3.50 for a pint of water when I'm doing sober October, wouldn't it 🙄.
