Cost of a pint of lime a soda?

I was in a pub yesterday, for the lime and soda on the round (for my nephew who doesn’t drink alcohol), went back for it which is how I know how much it cost.
How much would it cost in your local?
In mine, they’d usually give it to you for free but I wasn’t at my local!!
Before anyone comes on to tell me I shouldn’t expect anything for free/col meaning they need to charge/someone has to serve, collect the glasses and wash the glass etc, I’m aware of those things and didn’t expect it for nothing. I was just surprised as at our local they’d not charge for it if part of a round.
It was lime cordial and then soda from a gun, not bottled. No ice or fresh wedge of lime.

About £1.50

2023shady · 14/10/2023 16:33

We used to just charge for the cordial so 25p half pint, 50p pint

Jk987 · 14/10/2023 16:35

£2 minimum. It's a business.

I think it was about £3.80, ridiculous, plain soda is free so I just have that.

other days I have several lattes or lunch. Or if I can get a lift, a few bevvies.

they make plenty out of me to just have soda some days.

Isseywith3witchycats · 14/10/2023 16:37

£2.50 in a pub in town last night and that was for a half pint with no ice (west Yorkshire)

Jagley · 14/10/2023 16:37

I've never paid more than 50p, fee mostly.

Cannas · 14/10/2023 16:37

I usually drink orange squash and soda and it costs 50p. Soda is free.
I wish they did nice cordials but in our local all you can get is nasty cheap squash

Alighttouchonthetiller · 14/10/2023 16:38

I hope it was cheaper than a 'mocktail', which is basically squash with some leaves stuffed in.

Whattheflipflap · 14/10/2023 16:39

Anything from free to a fiver - so odd.

Lottie4 · 14/10/2023 16:40

Cost us £2.30 for a pint a few weeks ago - that's at a local village barn where they host concerts by local artists. Luckily the tickets were cheap.

Sprogonthetyne · 14/10/2023 16:41

Free if your driving (as are other soft drinks), not sure otherwise

ApolloandDaphne · 14/10/2023 16:42

£1.80

PosteriorPosterity · 14/10/2023 16:49

£3.50

I’ve paid this much for a blackcurrant cordial before, and that was with tap water not soda!

Where are soft drinks free for drivers? I always drive and always pay over the odds for soft drinks.

TempyBrennan · 14/10/2023 16:54

£3.20 - it costs the same as any other soft drink here!

diamondpony80 · 14/10/2023 17:01

20p before covid but about £1 now

Junipary · 14/10/2023 17:16

£4 for half a pint with my roast lunch in a local pub in South east London a couple of weeks ago. Will be making sure I ask the price before ordering in future...

ErcolSofa · 14/10/2023 17:18

It should cost the same as pint of Pepsi- about £4
It is the time taken, the wash up costs, heating, lighting etc

It isnt just a splash of lime in water

mrsbyers · 14/10/2023 17:19

About £2.30 in food setting

TheChosenTwo · 14/10/2023 17:22

It was £4.20 - I was shocked!

Couple of pubs near us offer cordial and soda/water free to the nominated "designated driver" in groups buying rounds.
Apparently it has helped reduce drink driving locally.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 14/10/2023 17:26

Jesus! It’s 50p here!

Pinkelephant66 · 14/10/2023 17:30

I was robbed £5 for a pint of it. I should’ve questioned it but I just blindly paid

Junipary · 14/10/2023 17:34

It's often not on the menu either so you don't realise how much it is until you get the bill

modgepodge · 14/10/2023 17:43

I find it varies massively (as this thread shows!) and you can never guess how much it will be. Some places seem to charge it as if it was a coke or a lemonade, so £3+. Other places charge just for the cordial, less than 50p. I wonder if there’s any other food/drink which varies so hugely in price?!
