Can anyone find this Christmas decoration for me?!

I’m trying to find a tall thin decoration to go on the corner of the stairs. Last year tried a few garden centres, though a nutcracker would be ideal, but they were either garish and pink and glittery or just too scary. Looking for something like this, but this is only 30cm so need taller, I’m guessing at least 50cm, but can be up to 1m. Doesn’t have to be gonk/father Christmas just this kind of tall thin shape. Really bugging me for some reason I can’t find this mythical thing and I’ve saved up for this one decoration! This one in the picture is Tin type thing

I love the Shaun the Sheep! If it wasn't £130 I'd probably buy one...

They also do it in a pair with a Gromit. I’m holding out hope for the sale…

Huge thank you to everyone on the thread. Some properly awesome things I wouldn’t have thought of!
Will measure the space, it’s quite small a tiny depth on the corner of the stairs, and see what will fit. And what I can get away with storing each year……

Try TK Maxx or Homesense, as they often have oversized decorative figures. I've got a large green-clad Santa that I'm rather fond of.

I second TK Maxx or Homesense. I have a big pumpkinhead nutcracker at the top of my stairs that I bought from Homesense. They are amazing for larger ornaments.

This IS the best shop for Christmas decorations - they've shops in York, Edinburgh and St Andrew's. Been in the first two so far!

I don't personally like gonks but The Nutcracker Christmas shop has beautiful painted nutcrackers in various sizes and colours, eg

What about a lantern? You could do a candle to match your colour scheme, or put something else more festive in it. There are loads online, but this Dunelm one is a good size.

I initially thought of these Cox and Cox houses but the tallest is only 46cm so probably not enough?

failing that, DH has banned me from this Shaun the Sheep.

How narrow is the space? Could eg a light up snowflake/star go across a corner?

I have the Cox and Cox lanterns and have a half landing/corner stair they don't look right on it - they look bloomin' gorgeous on my piano though

I was going to mention the lanterns, Next did some lovely ones last year

The OP isn’t looking for these particular gonks (I misread the initial post and did a Google lens search!). OP says the ones in the photo are too short, but they want something similar.

Get yourself down to The Range. I've also seen some friendly nutcrackers in my local garden centre.

Love this, range tomorrow for me!

I'm finding this thread strangely fascinating! So much I wouldn't have thought of.

I have the tall grey Santa upthread, he was about £20 from B&M (another good place for large decorations) I don't get him out most years though as I do find him a bit creepy!
Matalan have some good Christmas bits sometimes too.

weaselwords · 14/10/2023 18:30

This guy is 46cm on BrandAlley. They’ve got the original ones you posted too, OP.

Can anyone find this Christmas decoration for me?!
weaselwords · 14/10/2023 18:35

And this guy is 54cm, but looks quite startled.
