I'm a nosey neighbour, but....

(Lighthearted)... why would my neighbour take a small carrier bag tied up, looking like rubbish, out of his house, down the street and put it in the litter bin on the corner, and then come straight back home again? Instead of putting it in his own wheelie bin outside his front door? It was a small carrier bag so it definitely wasn't because his bin was too full.

He's eaten his secret stash of snacks and is hiding the evidence from his wife.

Danikm151 · 25/09/2023 17:47

found a mouse and didn’t want to put it in his own bin?

SunflowersAndSmellyTrainers · 25/09/2023 17:49

You need to go to said litter bin down the road and discover what's in the bag.

Now.

Report back.

JoyDivisionOvenGlovesx · 25/09/2023 17:49

TeeBee · 25/09/2023 17:49

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 25/09/2023 17:49

Disposing of a body a bit at a time.

Mistandmellowfruitfullness · 25/09/2023 17:55

Body parts?! 👻

Verymodestmouse · 25/09/2023 17:57

Definitely snacks or a secret takeaway

pilates · 25/09/2023 17:57

Something smelly he doesn’t want in his bin.

Yourebeingtooloud · 25/09/2023 17:57

Eating disorder and doesn’t want others in the house to know what he’s eating.

Twospaniels · 25/09/2023 17:58

My elderly dad does this if he has fish n chips from the chip shop - he doesn’t want the smelly paper etc in his kitchen bin or his wheelie bin. There is a bin in his street just a few yards away so he takes it there.

lemonsinlife · 25/09/2023 18:03

No dog. Odd time of day for fish and chips - just before 5pm.

Flipflopflopflip · 25/09/2023 18:07

My first thought was dog poop but you said no dog... a cat, cat litter maybe?

sm40 · 25/09/2023 18:08

Maybe a cheeky day time kebab? (I don't like dh putting kebabs in the bin as they stink!)

Tenashelflife · 25/09/2023 18:10

Love letters from his secret affair

Doggymummar · 25/09/2023 18:11

I did this with dead mice from the mouse trap as I didn't want to stink up my household rubbish.

TulipTuesday · 25/09/2023 18:12

Dead rat.
Had to do it myself when my very phobic mum found one in her garden. She wanted it as far away from her as possible. I took it the bin next to the bus stop just down the road.

Grumpyold · 25/09/2023 18:13

I meet a friend for breakfast every Sunday morning. Without fail she brings the packaging from whatever she had for dinner the night before, to put in a public bin because she doesn't want it in the house. Yes, she has some issues, but that's the reason.

TheShinmeister · 25/09/2023 18:13

A severed head?

CherryCokeFanatic · 25/09/2023 18:14

used condom from his affair?

ThirtyThrillionThreeTrees · 25/09/2023 18:16

Broken sex toys?

babblingbumblingbandofbaboons · 25/09/2023 18:19

I’ve done this with say food that’s gone off when I’ve just had my own bin emptied and I know it’ll be 3 weeks till the next collection - can’t avoid a bin smell but can make sure that something that’s already off won’t be in the bin for 3 weeks.

I’ve also done similar to others with mice, squirrels, birds found in the garden. For the same reasons as above, regardless of timescale to next collection.

Celticdawn5 · 25/09/2023 18:24

I’ve done this too particularly with chicken carcass if my wheelie bin has just been emptied
