Anyone ever stopped at Birmingham coach station at 3am ?

Sorry if the title is incorrect.
I am thinking of getting a coach to an airport and fly at 8am, but the coach I need has to change at New st. It stays for two hours and will be at 1am-3am.
Has anyone here done this? Did it feel safe?

TIA

If you'd be happier in Sheffield city centre at anytime of day than Birmingham I'd certainly avoid Birmingham for fear of certain death!

Sheffield city centre isn't safe in broad daylight!

More that train stations have better basic security than coach stations, and two hours is a hell of a long wait.

I've spent many a night out in Birmingham, plenty of them in Digbeth in the early hours. Wouldn't entertain being alone at the coach station end at that time. Would a taxi from the coach station to the airport be affordable/practical rather than waiting for the transfer?

A taxi costs about £35.

What in the world are you on about? Certain death? Oh the dramatics.

Having been to both city centres, I’ve managed to come back alive.
