What snack food, that once you start eating, you have trouble stopping

Mine is walkers Worcestershire sauce French fries. I don’t get them very often as only Asda sells them round here and my local Asda is a 20 min drive away.

When I start eating a packet, I end up getting another beer soon after. I have to physically say, no more!!! I would, and have done, eaten an entire 6 pack before.

Yoghurt peanuts and/or raisins. I convince myself it's a healthy snack because I buy them in Holland & Barrett.

Ozgirl75 · 02/09/2023 10:30

Salt and vinegar snack a jacks! They’re light and super tangy. Wish I could get them in a smaller pack!

Anything with salt or sugar and fat, sadly.

Forest feast dark chocolate salted almonds being a particularly lethal recent discovery.

Crisps! I have been known to demolish an entire share bag all by myself...

saxamaxa · 02/09/2023 10:30

M&S cheese straws with hummus I just cannot stop when I start

Cookerhood · 02/09/2023 10:32

Honey roast cashews
Pip & nut peanut butter by the spoonful.
I think you get the theme.

SophiaElise · 02/09/2023 10:33

Paprika pringles and honey roasted nuts

msmonstera · 02/09/2023 10:34

Like some pp, Pringles. I can eat the whole tube in an evening. There must be some drug in them. I just don't buy them now, or get the mini tube instead.

hby9628 · 02/09/2023 10:36

Any type of crisps. I think I am going to have to cut them out completely as I can't be trusted

SallyWD · 02/09/2023 10:36

Bombay mix, cheese, crisps, chip shop chips (I can eat my own portion then finish off everyone else's!). Nothing sweet - always salty foods.

hby9628 · 02/09/2023 10:36

@MadCatLady27 I can easily do that. It's shocking the amount of crisps i can consume

You can buy them in small bags. I do.

Spidey66 · 02/09/2023 10:37

Honey roasted cashews or flaming twisted (something like that...American snack crisps, bit like spicy wotsits)

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 02/09/2023 10:40

Sour cream and chive Pringles

Ozgirl75 · 02/09/2023 10:44

You can buy them in small bags. I do.

So are they small crackers too? I quite love that they’re huge but it would be nice if they came in packs of (say) 4.

Soubriquet · 02/09/2023 10:44

Im not keen on Pringles. I find them very sickly. I used to eat them when I was younger but then I got really sick on them and now I can’t stomach them at all

I don't but DH can inhale a giant bag of Maoams. Nothing else, he usually prefers savoury snacks. They're definitely his Achille's heel, opening the next as he eats one until they're gone.

OneMoreCookieMonster · 02/09/2023 10:51

Popcorn
Peanut M&Ms
Chocolate cornflake clusters
Brie and poppyseed crackers with red onion chutney
Baked camembert with toasted baguette

FiaMarrow · 02/09/2023 10:54

M&S cheesy puffs (think they're called cheese tasters or something). It's the only thing I get from M&S, all other cheese puffs pale in comparison once you've tried those bad boys. Could inhale them by the sack load

beguilingeyes · 02/09/2023 10:54

Has anyone else had Fried Egg crisps? Danny Baker tweeted about them and I thought they sounded ridiculous. Then I found some and omigod, they actually taste like fried eggs. I could eat a lot of those.

Salt and vinegar Pringles

Mammma91 · 02/09/2023 10:58

Ready salted hulla hoops. Obsessed in my first pregnancy, continued right through to 5 years later pregnant with no2 in early pregnancy. I shamefully put salt on them pregnant, my guilty pleasure 😂

DarkPsy · 02/09/2023 10:59

Another vote for Jaffa (crack) Cakes. I'm usually a vegan, gluten -free wanker, but once a month I'll inhale an entire box and it's totally worth the digestive distress for 3 days after.

Rich tea fingers - not the round ones though bizarrely
Walkers cheese and onion crisps - I’m old enough to remember having to buy them in the midlands when visiting family and taking them back down south where they were y yet sold ( 7’s/80’s)
Pistachio nuts
Cadbury grab bags of twirl, fudge etc - not buttons
Cadbury strawberry and orange creams
Popcorn - the sweet one not salty
And possibly I’m the only person in the world who still loves creme eggs - I’m too embarrassed to say how many I could eat…,

I can’t have any of these in the house as I’d be out of control. I just buy one now and again and eat it before I get home!

We lovr creme eggs in our hiuse! Ds gets at least one creme egg easter each year and the minute I see tge little eggs anywhere i buy them!
