If you can't say children/loved ones/friends?

What other than people matters to you?

I was asked today and I think it might be my work! I'm not sure I like that.

Freedom to move around- travel, visit new places, go for a walk etc. Being imprisoned would be my worst nightmare.

FusionChefGeoff · 24/08/2023 22:33

My sobriety

And that actually would be the answer even if could say the other things. As unless I'm sober I don't have anything else.

Honesty.

Exercise.

(I am going through a hard time at the moment. Very little support. Exercise is essential to me & helps me keep going).

Mine and my family's health. Our home and financial security.

My independence.

Home and garden. They both bring me so much joy/sense of peace/safety/interest/security/beauty. Home is my very favourite place to be.

Aside from family: My home or my animals. Of course, my health.

My job is only a tool for me.

MrsSkylerWhite · 25/08/2023 00:10

Health for myself and my loved ones, 100%

Catsmere · 25/08/2023 00:12

My cats. Love them, and worry about their health (with reason) more than any humans.

If my house caught fire the first thing I would grab after I had made sure my husband was safe would be my photo album of my dead dog, her ashes and my phone as it has all the videos of her on there, losing her devastated me and if I lost my memories of her I don’t think I would ever get over it. The only other thing I truly cherish is the health of my husband and myself.

A year ago I would have said my ddog but he has gone and I totally understand how you feel @LadyVictoriaSponge
Mine would be my mental health. My dogs, my home, they were my wellbeing. My home is my safe place and it's not the same without my dogs but it is all I have and I am grateful that it is mine. I nearly lost it at one point, I don't know how my mental health (or my finances) would have managed if I had.

Stick the videos in the cloud as back up

Your question made me stop and think, OP, because I have a house full of possessions and absolutely none of them spring to mind as something I treasure. Makes me wonder why I seem to hang on to so much crap!

Tell me about it.
