How many times have you moved house?

I've moved 14 times. Moved out of home at 18 so counting that as first, then moving around as a student, into shared housing, bedsits, in with boyfriends... I'm likely to move again.

How many times have you moved?

Most of my moves were as a child/young adult. We're very settled where we are now and of course you never know what the future holds but it would have to be something fairly major for us to move now.

I’m 50, and just like a new place, a new culture, a new language etc. Six countries, three continents — some moves for study, some for work, once took a year’s unpaid leave to follow DH to where he was opening an international branch of the agency he worked for etc. but also things like four different addresses over ten years living in London, three different Oxford addresses during my student years. Have decided to stay where I am until DS finishes school in seven years…

I'm 36 tomorrow and have lived in 16 properties. One was for only 6 weeks. One was a static caravan for 2 years.

Only lived in 2 homes in my childhood

Lived in 6 different places between 18 and 25 when I was a student or in house shares

Have owned 2 houses as an adult and been in current house over 20 years

So I've lived in 10 places in total which isn't many compared to others

My parents have lived in their current house since about 1976 when I was about 18months old!

14 times between the ages of 18 and 28

7 - my parents stayed in the same house for their entire married lives - almost 60 years

Four as an adult, don't plan to move out of this house for at least 20/30 years

Twenty seven.

Two countries, two hemispheres.

16 I think, across 3 countries. I’m 44. I have no intention moving anytime soon. I’ve spent a fortune on a new kitchen.

As a child - 11 times.

As an adult - 9 times.

Don't ever want to move again, so fed up of it.

Including childhood?

I think I lived in two houses during childhood, then three houses as an adult. My dc on the other hand have lived in about 12 different houses due to numerous moves at uni/for work placements.

Once as a child and twice as an adult.

Twice as a child, three times with DH, many times as a student. Been in current house over 20 years and I can't imagine moving again unless we downsize at some point.

22 times , 10 international moves. I hope to move at least 2 more times!
One good thing is you learn to live without too much stuff.

My father was in the navy so loads. Not sure I could count. As an adult since age of 18 excluding halls of residence 6

14 total. One childhood home and then 13 different homes spanning five countries in Europe, America, and the Middle East.

16 times. Hated moving so much as a kid but it was my parents job that made us move a lot.

Never as a child.
I bought a house at 19 and have never moved.

After leaving home...5. I moved house several times before moving into this address in 1995, but planning to move to Somerset shortly.

Loads of times. Until I moved onto a boat and now our house moved to!

On Friday will be the 9th, of those 6 in the last 10 years. Hopefully next 10 years will be more settled, I've definitely had enough....
