I was like this with Alan Rickman the other day, once DH said he had died I did vaguely remember when it happened but I just didn't link it whenever I've watched him in anything recently.

@Invisablepanic I think there was a wee spate of some of my favourites dying - Alan Rickman, Prince, David Bowie all around 2016/2017 I think. I felt very old!

Yes. But then he was practically the second patron saint of Scotland. So it was everywhere.

2016 was the year that there was a spate of celebrity deaths. I remember the BBC announcing that their end of year "people who died this year" programme was going to be an hour long instead of half an hour (or 2 hours instead of 1 or something).

People were joking that 2016 was the worst year ever; that it was so bad that in the future we'd look back and just pretend it never happened. That didn't age so well!
