No good deed goes unpunished- reselling tickets

Just had to get Twickets to reverse a sale as the buyer was unhappy that I couldn't supply the tickets now (for a concert in June 2024 for which tickets have not been released yet- no, not Taylor Swift 😂). She was really unhappy about it, which I thought was a bit off as I'd put all the information onto the site accurately, was using the approved resale site and selling at cost price for a sold out gig.

Is there anywhere I can resell tickets without all this faff?

June 2024

so you’ve very very recently booked?

With the intention of off loading with a hefty profit I imagine

Why are people incapable of reading the OP?

Practically tripped over your own feet in glee at a chance to insult someone’s character.

So I guess you would have congratulated OP if she confirmed that was indeed the case?

not bothered either way as you can see from my posts on this very thread, I have NO problem with profit making. In fact, quite the opposite

Why is making a hefty profit insulting someone

I have just sold my house for a HUGE profit! And very happy I was too

And my house increased by £100K in the first year and what? Who cares? No one. That also had nothing to do with it.

There’s a difference between being a ticket tout and reselling due to a change in circumstances.

Has anyone sold Taylor Swift tickets for next august via Axs and received the refund yet? Daughter has sold 4 vip tickets officially thru the Axs resale site and now thinks won’t get the money back til 7-10’days after the event.. !!

foolishone · 25/08/2023 07:27

@Chloebear28 that might be right. I sold some on twickets and got the money after the event. Check the site t&c.

TastesLikeStrawberriesOnASummerEvening · 25/08/2023 13:34

Yep, that can happen.

Having bought tickets through Twickets in the past, that sounds right. It’s to protect the buyer against any scams. Buyer pays at point of purchase but seller gets money after the show.

Axs will be coining it in.. first they said we couldn’t transfer or sell vip tickets.. then they decided they it would be allowed.. no wonder.. it’s a money making scheme.. new buyer pays again and Axs keep both lots of money for a whole year as it’s Taylor swift and concert is august 2024. £1600 is a lot of money to wait a year for considering the girls are only 21 and some students.
lesson learnt however. Daughter will
never book with axs again, or book concert tickets for everyone else and pay on her own card.
( will definitely never pay that amount to see anyone again no matter who they are. This experience has been awful and resulted in them deciding to sell all the tickets and not go at all. )

It's to protect against scams.
I buy and sell tickets a lot and it's something I just accept.
Some cost a lot, but I've never been ripped off, I knew what I was getting into and they were worth it to me.

Or maybe it’s because a fake seller will sell tickets they don’t have, or sell tickets they do have several times on different platforms, whereas this way, the buyer will get a refund for tickets that never arrived and the seller won’t have profited either.

Your daughter being 21 has nothing to do with it. I’m sure if she was buying resale tickets, you would want to ensure she isn’t scammed. It’s a really good way of selling of tickets.
