Clothes. It’s so boring and most of the time I end up just feeling crap about myself.

HuckingFellHire · 12/07/2023 05:24

Hate getting petrol

cocksstrideintheevening · 12/07/2023 08:07

Jeans
Food unless at a market on holiday

SoWhatEh · 12/07/2023 08:10

Presents, if I haven't been given a list. I get paralysed with indecision and fear the person won't like the gift.

Tiredmummaoftwo · 12/07/2023 08:20

Bikinis

Food shopping - absolutely hate having to think about what everyone will eat all the time!

Years ago, it was the annual school uniform/shoe shop. Every summer I'd have to take my 3 boys to try on school trousers etc and buy school shoes and trainers. Was stressful and really expensive!

The other thing is shopping for an outfit for a particular occasion - I feel the pressure to find something and I'm never sure it's the right thing - for other women it seems so effortless. They always seem to have just the right lbd or accessories or that perfect smart/casual outfit!

Deathraystare · 12/07/2023 10:55

Bras. Now do it online. Had enough of having to sit on the floor to get to my size!

Also hate clothes shopping so do it mostly online. Had enough of having to search for a label to see if it is bastard Viscose/Lyocell etc etc.

Seeingadistance · 12/07/2023 10:56

Bras.

AffIt · 12/07/2023 11:08

Carpets.

Why is the whole thing so bloody complicated and time-consuming? It's just a bit of heavy-duty fabric that covers a floor.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 12/07/2023 15:51

Make up
I can never tell how the colours will actually look on my lips/ skin
Finally cracked jeans which are perfect ( I'm 58!)

TheHumanSatsuma · 12/07/2023 16:02

Shoes. I have very wide, very deep feet with narrow heels. Also have t9 wear inserts in my shoes and to make it even more difficult my left foot is half a size bigger than my right.

JustMoved123 · 12/07/2023 16:04

Bras and swimwear. Every time I hope to be smaller but it’s never the case 😔

VioletCharlotte · 12/07/2023 16:11

Jeans! I can never find a pair that I like and feel comfortable in. It's soul destroying.

*food

AlyssumandHelianthus · 12/07/2023 22:06

Jeans (all the styles always change in-between me buying them so it's always from scratch)
Glasses (expensive, make my face look weird)
Bras (ugh)
Anything expensive and technical (just CBA to workout which one to get and I know it will instantly annoy me in some way.)

I do like buying furniture, paint, wallpaper, books, blankets and food.

justthinkingxx · 12/07/2023 22:07

Furniture!

TheFormidableMrsC · 12/07/2023 22:08

Anything for an event in terms of clothes. Sends me scatty. I hate dresses but always feel I have to find one I like. Never have. I love shopping otherwise.

DoesItHaveKosovo · 12/07/2023 22:10

Appliances. Trying to decide which is the best washing machine when they’re all basically the fucking same

DyslexicPoster · 12/07/2023 22:11

Oh god yes, kids shoes in clarks in holidays. Fresh hell.

Our nearest outlet let's you jump the queue and sit separately if your child has SEN. But it's still a fresh hell. They never have the right size. The measurements never seen right, they are too expensive. Too many hyper kids and stressed parents all crammed together

ShakeYourFeathers · 12/07/2023 22:13

Filling the car up with petrol

An outfit for a special occasion when I need something specific or have something in mind. I love clothes shopping but I'm more spontaneous and it's when I need something particular and I can never find it
