I can't quite say "as long as I remember" but I listened to the BBC radio drama of Lord of the Rings on my Walkman every night for years when I was 11/12 and fell in love with all the actors. Almost the only one still alive is Bill Nighy (credited as William Nighy) who played Sam and who I've followed ever since. I saw him three times in Arcadia.
