Ah yes, the tent zip sound is a good one - it reminds me of family camping holidays when we were younger.

Smack of a wicket going down in cricket - if it's an Aussie wicket obvs. That rattle then a split second silence while your brain catches up with what's happened then the roar of the crowd.

Also cricket sounds from far away. Cricket noises basically.

Summer rain pattering down in the middle of the night (especially after a long dry spell)

The happy munching sound that guinea pigs make when they are given a pile of fresh vegetables/fruit and are getting stuck in

A piano being played live (ideally classical music)

The fffzz sound of a can of diet coke being opened.

Dog dreaming.
Guinea pig wheeking.
They key in the door as (newly adult) DS gets home after being “out out”. I finally sleep properly.

The fart the first scoop of trifle makes as you breach the jelly to serve.

Babies/children laughing - actually, anyone laughing but babies doing belly laughs is just the best!

The Tube - the sound of a Tube train rumbling along reminds me of trips to Great Ormond Street as a child.

yes, that's a good one. beats a baby's laugh any day.

Antiphonal purring from cats lying each side of you in bed.

I've come here to say just that. I rarely drink wine anymore but still find it such a quietly luxurious sound.
Also that summer night sound of crickets and tree frogs that you get in warmer places. (How is it that we have mosquitoes now in the UK but no crickets??)

When you hear your newborn baby cry for the first time.

•The roar off a Nissan GTR engine when it accelerates.

The quiet that descends when my GS (3) has gone home 🤣

My children gently breathing next to me when they were tiny. Baby sneezes! Local clock chiming in the early hours at when we go to our favourite camping place. Six o clock bongs from a Big Ben on Radio 4. Always signalled end of the working day. When I was younger it was when my dad came through the door. Still signifies time to rest x
