If you had one, of course.

To Make You Feel My Love - the Garth Brooks version because DH is a country music fan 😍

This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole - though we didn't do it as a solo, we told everyone to join in from the start as I hate being the centre of attention and neither of us are dancers! I wanted something upbeat and happy, not a swaying-side-to-side thing.

By coincidence the same song was playing in the operating theatre when DD was handed to me a couple of years later so it's very much my happy place song!

We've Only Just Begun by The Carpenters. Still brings a tear to my eye when I hear it on the radio!

80sMum · 21/06/2023 13:59

We didn't have one, as our reception was a lunch, followed by the traditional speeches and toasts, in a room at a local pub. There was no music.

I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith, along with practically every other couple who got married in 1998, (or so it certainly seemed at the time!)

Queen, You're My Best Friend.

John Legend - All of me.

Same. We didn't have a song and that was the slowest song around at the time 😂😂

Flowers in the Window by Travis

Andywarholswig · 21/06/2023 14:43

You’re just too good to be true -Andy Williams. I had the Music to watch the girls go by CD in my car and we’d always roar along to it on road trips, still sing along to it now together

Lovely choice. What sort of dance did you do?

Quite a folksy dance, I'm trained and he's quite good, so it was very pastoral with a few twirls and lifts but mostly waltzy. We had a rough idea but improvised most of it. It was at a vineyard under the fairy lights so very woodsy - I had a flower crown. Best day of my life

Chemical Brothers - Swoon

We're not into schmultzy stuff so picked a really happy tune that we and our friends loved to dance to.

Georgie Michael and Mary J Blige - As

laughingnow · 21/06/2023 14:52

I haven’t the faintest recollection!

NeverThatSerious · 21/06/2023 14:55

Tyler Childers - All Your’n but we nearly had ain’t nothing ‘bout you by Brooks and Dunn… alas my husband said he’d have to ‘actually dance too much’ to that one!

NeverThatSerious · 21/06/2023 14:58

Our last dance was iron maiden’s run to the hills, played by our fantastic band, which I thought was quite funny

user1471556818 · 21/06/2023 15:23

Kinda wish one of us did but 35 yrs is a fair time ago

Didn't have a first dance - no evening "do". Thank goodness - still so pleased we didn't go for that.
