How do you get rid of those skinny spiders?

I have a few in my house at the moment. I don't mind them whilst they are small. Dc don't like them though. I've removed a few in a bit of tissue and then blow them into the garden but just wondering if there is a better way. Especially for the bigger ones that I don't really like touching!

It's a marvellous excuse not to dust!😂
I just occasionally take away the webs if they get too obvious. I do apologise to them of course 😉

Our house is full of cellar spiders there's one in every room in the corner of the ceilings. But I never see any carcasses of the big fat spiders they supposedly eat. It's true that since adopting them from our garage conversion there has been considerably less sightings of the bigger fat ones but where do the bodies go? I'm sure they must be eating them but you'd think I'd see some evidence. They also don't appear to make any webs, just the odd whispy but here and there so how do they catch them? I've googled cellar spider and they look very similar although they don't get that big most of the time.

I have seen the big spiders bundled up by cellar spiders. Saw it actually happen one day. Thought the cellar spider was going to be toast! But I don't know where the bodies go, spiders only drink the blood, don't they.

I Hoover them up 🙈

Ive never seen a cellar spider but omg I would love a couple in my house. We get the huge growling, panting big feckers scuttling across my floors and I freak each and every time. The bastard cats just watch, despite their homicidal tendencies with all other living creatures.

Is Scotland too cold for them?

We definitely get them here, I've had a few.

To keep spiders out of your house collect horse chestnuts ( conkers) in the autumn, minus their spiky covers. Put them in groups around the house, windowsills are best place. You will be spiderless.

Conkers don't work in our house. The big scary mofo's just use them to limber up like giant yoga birthing balls 🙄🤷‍♂️
