Just opened a bag of Kettle Chips, where are the rest of them?! I think there's more bag than crisps!

I challenge you to get a multipack of walkers baked. I actually think you could open all 6 and pour them into one of the bags and still have room to spare.

Yes, definitely! 😂 I was quite surprised the first time I opened a packet of these.

Mine are the Aldi ‘snackrite’ ready-salted variety which I think are ok in terms of volume, for a multipack size, but I have noticed that there has been an increase in the number of broken crisps lately.

Maybe there are too many crisps for the size of bag?
High bag to crisp volume maybe results in fewer breakages?

On topic, Kettle Chips have been shrinkflated from 150g, which was exactly the right amount for DH and me to share as an after-dinner snack, to 130g, which is insufficient.

That's a normal portion, of which you have clearly lost sight of if you think there aren't enough crisps there.

People eat too many crisps in this country. In <insert name of more enlightened country> they only have crisps at parties. No-one would ever have crisps for lunch on a weekday. I bet you had a sandwich as well, no wonder there's an obesity crisis.

I couldn't possibly eat all those crisps, I'm too full after my Massive Salad.

I had a bag of salt n shake crisps and there was 5 blue bags of salt and 1 crisp. Never felt so ripped off.

Talking of crisps i was distraught to only count 15 cheddars in my mini cheddar packet today ..usually at least 16 WTAF is going on with this world?!!

My friend's dad did genuinely complain about the crisp to bag ratio on some Golden Wonders....it was the talk of the school in the 80s and he got some freebies to shut him up.

Get a Daily Mail sadface photo just in case.

I still can't get over the MN poster who said a pint of Ben and Jerry's would serve her family of 4 over 5-6 nights (no puddings on a Monday obvs).

It's really interesting to me that you posted this thread, which I have just found. I opened a bag of Kettle crisps tonight and exclaimed at the piddly amount in the bottom of the bag. I know it's really sad of me but I weighed them and they came in at 22g in a 25g bag ! I had eaten them in about one minute😂. I'm less than impressed with the manufacturers - the supermarkets and food companies were one of the only areas to make a profit in lockdown. Honestly ! I'm SO in agreement with you.

The best crisp / bag ratio are bunny bites from tesco. You get loads in there!

Think it was about last year that they reduced Mini Cheddars from 25g to 22g, if I remember rightly. Didn’t reduce the price though. Of course your Cheddar reduction observation may be based on recent packets, in which case please ignore me.

Of course, I only ever eat massive salads while the skinny teens (has anyone mentioned the skinny teens yet?) can eat 20 bags of crisps each and still have space left for their evening meal.

...of course they're absolutely starving after their lacrosse lesson but still... 😅

You are not wrong OP. The weight of crisps per bag is lower than when I used to scoff a bag a day (breastfeeding, 10 years ago). So yes, DEFINITELY fewer ⭐️ crisps. I know this coz I went to buy some the other day and could see the bag looked different. Compare to say coop own brand (which I can highly recommend) and the weight has SHRINKFLATED. It’s a sad bad world.

Ps I am referring to the (once) big bags of KCs . I have not done research on the small bags.
