What would you eat?
Total Fantasy Disclaimer : Like say food had no nutritional requirement and was neutral in it's effects, and only existed to give us pure energy. We would also have to assume all foods gave the exact same energy so no hierarchies could exist. Grin

I personally would eat peanut butter toasties often, not that I don't partake already, but much more often. I would also eat a LOT of Tesco Finest Pizza. I'm not to fussed about sugar but I would gorge on the savouries; cheese, fancy oily crackers and mayo.
I also love salad and would likely compliment this with a mountain of frites or sausage. & OMG SAUSAGE ROLLS!
Maybe I would eat like Elvis, for a short time.

In reality, I love my food and enjoy it, but for health reasons I do opt for moderation, and would probably get tired of excess pretty fast.

Aaaand another disclaimer - this is lighthearted fun.

This is tricky! It's hard to separate out just taste versus how food makes me feel. This is what you mean? I'm actually not sure if I would eat much different to how I do now, as food that makes me feel crap doesn't taste nice to me anymore either. Is cost still an issue?

Probably bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes on smashed avo sourdough toast or porridge with sultanas, walnuts and stewed rhubarb. Kefir, frozen blueberry and frozen banana smoothie. A few different things on rotation for dinner like lamb rogan josh or jalfrezi, keema shepherd's pie, beef casserole, jerk chicken with rice and peas. 100% cocoa chocolate.

EmeraldFox · 27/05/2023 20:07

Probably hourly black coffee if no ill effects!

coxesorangepippin · 27/05/2023 20:22

Full English every day or eggs Benedict

Mid morning coffee and cake

Burger, fries, coleslaw, coke. Choc cake and red wine for pudding

Mid afternoon cake, maybe an espresso

Onion bhaji and poppodums. Chicken dupiaza, rice, garlic naan, veg curry. Red wine.

Probably some some of cheese toastie supper, or a poutine

This was apparently my grandmother's usual breakfast when she lived in the former soviet union.

^

We need to know more about this Grandma!!

maddiemookins16mum · 27/05/2023 20:41

Cake. That is all.

I’d also put extra thick double cream on said cake.

Dontlookow · 27/05/2023 20:51

Toffee crisps.
Cake.

MrsCatE · 27/05/2023 20:57

@ManonDe - your Gran is my kind of woman and I hope you salute her by at least having that breakfast a few times a year!

Boardname · 27/05/2023 20:58

Maple and pecan slices. I love them, but for nearly 500 calories and not really that filling I try and resist more often than not!

Maraudingmarauders · 27/05/2023 20:58

A LOT of brie.
Probably some other things, but I'd like to live with a wedge of brie in hand.

This thread is evidence that human bodies are a flawed design Grin
It should be this way in real life! Ma vie en chocolat!

Crusts of white bread with butter
White toast with butter and marmalade
Tesco or Asda milk chocolate
Coffee creams
Cherry bakewells
Apple or rhubarb crumble and custard

Stravaig · 27/05/2023 21:14

Kedgeree and mangoes!

Venison stew, Cullen skink, sushi, all the vegetables.

Raspberries, brambles, meringue & cream.
Real chocolate mousse.
Chocolate hazelnut biscotti dunked in red wine.

Strong sweet cardamom coffee, all day long (if no effect).

mondaytosunday · 27/05/2023 21:17

Loads of Japanese, Indian and Chinese food. Yum!
Then when I go to the States I'd eat so much - the brunches there are amazing! Pancakes, bacon, French toast, more bacon...

Stravaig · 27/05/2023 21:19

@ManonDe Oh I want to try that!

Basics of my diet would stay the same but I would have a pudding after dinner every day and a slice of cake mid morning

I would have a box of naice chocolates on the go all the time and eat 3 or 4 whenever I fancied

In hot weather I would eat ice cream every day (2 big scoops of whatever I fancy)

Breakfast, lunch & dinner I would continue with same things I currently eat

This sounds pretty much perfect to me.

KohlaParasaurus · 27/05/2023 21:40

I think I might just spend the rest of my life and all of my life savings going on eating holidays around the world. Or stay at home and have a takeaway and as much cheesecake as I want every day.

Mayonnaise. So much mayonnaise. And cheese

I'd have delicious bakery bread with literally an inch think of proper salted butter

Proper sandwiches with meats, cheese, salad and loads of mayonnaise. Like proper baguettes

I'd drink milk, maybe the odd chocolate milkshake.

I'd have pork belly, sausages, black pudding all the time. Kebabs with cheese chips

I'd still have plenty of veg but would have loads of French dressing on my salad, and butter with plenty of salt on all my veg.

I love this. I would do this too.

JustDanceAddict · 27/05/2023 22:09

I’d also have white bread toast w loads of butter and peanut butter!!!

EmeraldFox · 28/05/2023 09:40

Pip1402 · 27/05/2023 21:28

This sounds pretty much perfect to me.

Yes, I'd probably do the same. I mostly eat food because it's what I like anyway. So it would be about the extras, like proper icecream, Christmas pudding with extra thick double cream, countless strong black coffees.

liveforsummer · 28/05/2023 09:57

All the things you describe is pretty much my diet anyway 😅 apart from the pizza as it doesn't fit in my air fryer. Everything comes with a side of salad to include avocado and mozzarella
