Non Alcoholic ‘Grown Up’ Drinks

I’m alcohol intolerant and I’m just after ideas of refreshing drinks, to have at bbqs, that sort of thing. I normally have a Pepsi Max can or maybe San Pellegrino but sometimes I feel like I want something a bit more exciting.

Please can you share your ideas and favourites. Thank you.

I had friends round for cocktails and made them non alcoholic because one of the friends was pregnant. I served these, which were very nice -

This is nice but leave out the vinegar- it leaves a very odd after taste.

I like cordial with soda water. Add some fancy ice cubes (e.g. mint to go with lemon and mint cordial) or lemon. I freeze slices of lemon so they're ready in the freezer. Also fresh apple juice with tonic water is very refreshing.

Posh off the shelf are Luscombe's bottled drinks. They're all lovely but the raspberry one in summer is lush.

i like tonic with ice and lemon if i'm driving.
Other mixers without alcohol as PP a has mentioned - flavoured tonic, bitter lemon etc'

Fizzy water with a splash of lime.

My absolutely favourite is pineapple juice, ginger ale (even if you don't like ginger, you won't notice), ice and sprigs of mint.

JJ Kombucha
Nonsuch Shrubs with Fevertree mixers
Hibiscus iced tea with peach syrup

Also really nice quality herb teas with a slice of lemon

Trip available from ASDA. CBD drink. The pink can is my favourite evening wind down drink.

For Summer BBQs and house gatherings, I bring a small water bottle (200 mls maybe) of Lyre's Italian spritz decanted from the massive big bottle. It tastes exactly the same as Aperol Spritz (so I am told!), and with fizzy water, ice and orange slices and a proper big wine glass it is just great.

I am sure others will have more ideas, but that's my favourite and it's why I bring my own supply! Saves the host trying to source it, but they provide the ice, glass etc. though....

I’ve just been influenced by you to buy bottle!

I love sparkling elderflower - always choose it if it’s available.
