Why doesn't my washing smell like theirs?

When I visited my mum last week, she had used the loveliest smelling washing detergent/softener. I asked her what it was and then got some for my washing.

I was disappointed to find out my washing didn't smell the same.

Anyone know why that could be?

The instructions aren't very clear on washing machine products. Like it may say use 1 Capsule per wash, but then in small print it will say something like "based on a 4kg load" and "for hard water, use an extra pod". So if you have an 8kg drum, in a hard water area, you could need to use up to 4 pods.

Failing that, have you tried the scent booster balls?

It will be your hard water.

I've worked in places that make that stuff. You should really be sticking to the recommended doses. You are going to get a nasty build up..
