Who would you like to see presenting This Morning?

I think they should give some up and coming presenters a chance. i don’t want to see the likes of Eamonn & Ruth back again - they’ve had their day.

Do you know who I think would be pleasant to see on there? The black lady who does the car advert during the breaks in this Morning - the one who presents her daughter in the back of the car as the music expert, and her son is seen reluctantly washing the car. I would love to see her presenting.

Rylan and Emma willis or Ruth and Eamon

TheBucketWoman · 22/05/2023 21:29

Esther Rantzen and Judith Chalmers.

SunflowerLovers · 22/05/2023 21:32

JK Rolling and Jack Monroe as main presenters. Rusty Lee and Les Dennis on a Friday.

No-one. I think the show has had its day and should end.

Helen Skelton and Jules Hudson.

😃😃 at Jules suggestion!

Richard and Judy definitely! They were the best. Don't mind Rutland Eamon either. I agree with others that it should be proper journalists, the difference between them and the likes of Holly and PS is miles apart.

ODFOx · 22/05/2023 23:19

Give it to Vernon Kay. Anything to get him off the radio. He's a pleasant enough chap ( if you ignore how he treated his wife) but dull as ditchwater and really struggling on Radio 2.

ODFOx · 22/05/2023 23:28

You don't need a heavyweight journalist/commentator for This Morning.
Just someone intelligent and competent to keep it light and all the plates spinning and bring it together.
Chris and Rosie Ramsey are being trained for something and present well but not polished yet. Maybe in a year or two?
Meanwhile Eamonn has proved himself a liability so many times I think he's tolerated now because the over 89s recognise him snd Ruth keeps him on track.
I think they will bring Dermott in to pair with Holly for a while before a big shake up in the medium term.

Timetochangetheoil · 22/05/2023 23:31

Dawn French and Piers Morgan. I’m imagining her keeping him in check like the Vicar did with David Horton in VofD.

I liked Mollie from the Saturdays when she was on once with Ben who does lots of ITV shows (can’t remember his surname sorry)! They just seemed to have nice chemistry. She comes across as warm and genuine. I like Matt and Mollie together on Radio 1. Maybe ITV could poach them off the BBC.

FMLWTF · 22/05/2023 23:39

Has anyone said Emma Forbes? I liked her back in the day. And yes, lovely Sarah Green.

Stabee · 22/05/2023 23:44

Definitely not Eamon Holmes, Ruthie, Claudia Winkleman, or heaven forbid Esther Rantzen.

There must be some new people out there, surely.

Timetochangetheoil · 23/05/2023 00:41

Ooh what about David Tennant? The show needs some eye candy 😄

SunburstsOrMarbleHalls · 23/05/2023 01:55

I would prefer experienced broadcast journalists, particularly for the current affairs sections ITV has plenty to choose from like Nina Hossain and Julie Etchingham.

Keep Alison Hammond for interviewing celebrities as she has a real talent for creating a great rapport with the stars, maybe Julia Bradbury and Craig Doyle for human interest and lifestyle.

Get rid of all the current line up and start again also get rid of the Speakmans.

HazelBite · 23/05/2023 06:04

Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd
Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson
Vernon Kay and Rochelle Humes

romaineleaf · 23/05/2023 06:09

Someone entirely new. They really need to shake up their talent. There must be loads of talented wannabes out there.

Although I've switched to TalkTV, more debate and less "I fell in love with a ghost" type interviews.

User1529865 · 23/05/2023 06:11

Rylan and Ruth, I think you need one more serious journalist one but not necessarily two
