What has made you happy today?

Today I took DD2 for a walk around out local NT. She fell asleep in the pram and I sat on the deckchair in the sun for an hour reading a book. NT was quiet so I had the sounds of the birds, gorgeous views and in-between reading did a spot of people watching. On the walk back to the car I realised how happy this made me feel and that I can't remember the last time I had felt so relaxed.

So, what have you done today that's made you feel happy??

A walk with my dog - we were the only ones on the route so he was happily dotting about the moor off lead, it was a lovely day with beautiful views of the hills and Forth bridges in the distance. That made me very happy 😊

I had a day off work and went down to London to see the Hockney exhibition. It was brilliant

2 things made me happy today, the first cooking dinner together with my DS9, DS2 was born in December and takes up a lot of time naturally so it was nice for me and DS to spend some time together preparing dinner and having a chat, he loves helping out in the kitchen.

Secondly I did my nails (fingers and toes!) for the first time tonight since aforementioned DS2 was born and it’s made me feel almost put together 😂

I made macaroni cheese for dinner and DD1 aged 6 said it was the best she'd ever had and gave me a huge grin and two thumbs up. I hadn't done anything special but it made me smile.

My rescue dog (who is a very anxious boy) finally jumped the bed with me for a cuddle - so happy.

I went to feed my rabbits and discovered 4 newly born baby bunnies 🐰
Life has been very stressful but this really made me feel happy.

I went for a walk in the sun with my son which is always nice, but the amazing thing was we met a couple who recognised me. I'd resuscitated the husband, probably nearly 15 years ago now, and there he was, alive and happy. Things like that don't happen every day!

I interviewed someone for a role in my team and he was absolutely lovely. I'm really looking forward to offering him the role!

I live overseas, my lovely DS21 moved back to the UK in January and I miss him so much. He called today to say he's arriving tomorrow for a week . So bloody excited to see him and have him home 😊
