It’s not just a home, but a lifestyle - apparently.

I'm wondering if of this description of a house wins some sort of prize as being the most vomit inducing?

Nice home though, if you can get past photo number 24...

That house seems soulless, no colour and no warmth.

This is exactly the word I was going to use - soulless!

Yes I thought it was rather cold.

tailinthejam · 11/05/2023 19:29

Imagine the gallons of paint it is going to take to put that hallway back to rights. Anyway, anything with the name 'Union' in the name means that's where the workhouse used to be.

That is a beautiful hallway.

I can see only one bathroom for all those bedrooms - you'd have to go down two flights of stairs in the middle of the night.

The bathrooms are all the blue ones.

I always think that on the F&B Facebook groups when someone swoons over Railings.

“Oh gosh, has it really been twenty six years…” 🤮

Always4Brenner · 11/05/2023 19:38

I love it especially one of the bedrooms with all the white furniture. Love the bathroom as well. I’ve gone black on white in the bathroom for accessories and love it. Photo 24 weird thing in it.

countvoncount · 11/05/2023 19:54

Bet it's freezing in the winter

ErikaReadsTheDailyMail · 11/05/2023 19:59

Inside Number 9...

finallygotospeaktoSky · 11/05/2023 20:03

Do not rate this place at all, the decor is awful and the upwrite is...no comment. It looks cold and unwelcoming, more of a show piece than a home.

TattiePants · 11/05/2023 20:06

I like the bones of the house but agree with a pp, there’s absolutely no personality and the decor needs a big overhaul.

Pieceofpurplesky · 11/05/2023 20:19

That watery grave cellar is horrific

finallygotospeaktoSky · 11/05/2023 20:20

What is so scary about the fore mentioned photos? Unusual maybe but scary, really?

eloquent · 11/05/2023 20:21

Oh, the things I would do to that house!

finallygotospeaktoSky · 11/05/2023 20:22

Don't care for all the descriptive nonsense either. Complete waffle.

garlictwist · 11/05/2023 20:23

My friend was asked to write a personal description of her house by the estate agent that would portray it as a nice family place to live. They said they'd show it to interested people. I guess these vendors were asked the same, although sticking it on rightmove seems a bit harsh!

Houseupdate · 11/05/2023 20:23

30 photo yet they don’t show all the rooms. I always find houses with rooms decorated in a number of decades and then not decorated odd.

behaveasbefitsthesituationwillyas · 11/05/2023 20:27

The kitchen is my worst kind of kitchen.

hopeishere · 11/05/2023 20:27

A black hallway doesn't make it stylish! Rest of it is dreadful.

Level75 · 11/05/2023 20:31

The big front window looks like a penis

Did you zoom in on the bench thing with it's weird face?

Anaemiafog · 11/05/2023 20:36

Whitby has become a nightmare victim of its own success. It's completely swamped with far too many tourists to cope with its tiny streets. I live a few miles away and you couldn't pay me to live there.

cupofdecaf · 11/05/2023 20:40

I know the people who own this house. Lovely but quirky people.
