Buying a b-day card for pet

Would you find it strange if someone told you they were buying a b-day card for their pet?! 😀

I bumped into someone I know in the card shop and I told her I was looking for a card for my cat. I think she gave me a strange look and I feel I should have not said anything. Not everyone understands the love for a pet.

(It's really for our 5 yo DD who loves her cat and wants to throw her a mini b-day party 🥳 ).

I buy him presents but my pet can't read so don't bother with a card

If you told me you were buying your cat a birthday card I'd buy one too and give it to you next time I saw you. I think it's nice to take an interest in things that are important to your friends.

You must be such a good friend , sometimes the posts you see on here make me despair at the behaviour of so-called friends .

@wildinthecountry the posts here made me think that I'm just a weirdo, to be honest Grin

In my extended family all the pets exchange cards & presents for Christmas & birthdays. Some are better at unwrapping them than others.

When I was ill recently my sister’s dog sent me a get well card.
