It's over.

I still know people who have had it and been ill but not hospital ill. It's still very much around.

It's a virus, it's always going to be around ,but he question was is he pandemic over ,with it is for the most part.

It's over from the point of view we don't need to worrying about the NHS not coping with it, and many of us shouldn't be so ill as we would have been.

It certainly hasn't gone away though. I felt really ill for about 10 days last time, so it'd certainly mess up a special occasion/holiday. At the moment it's running rife through the school where I work, in particular with one year group so windows and doors are open. I have seven immediate work colleagues, one had it at Easter, one last week. We have at least one child a day lined up to go home as they have symptoms.

Yes absolutely, it's a virus and it'll be a around for ever hence I know people who have had it.

But please remember the important take away which was a little lost yesterday in the coronation coverage that the who has said officially.

The pandemic is over.

I have had long Covid and know several people much worse off that me with it, they are now living on PIP. All of us 30s and 40s, previously completely healthy, busy jobs, kids.

Every time I have it again, it takes me months to recover to minimum basic level. I still can’t exercise or have the basic stamina as I once did to live a normal life. It’s affected what I can do with my family and ruined my career and therefore my pension savings. I dread to think what the repeated infection is doing to our bodies long term because natural immunity is not long term, even if we can get past the financial fall out.

Id love to know what are these private Covid vaccines we’re all supposedly able to access?

I am not downplaying the fact that the virus certainly affected certain groups of people really badly but the majority of us it was never a threat and the response to it was frankly insane.

WHO is finally catching up.

I personally think that the NHS backlog (people with conditions that were not diagnosed and treated during lockdowns which led to worse outcomes), the effect of repeat lockdowns on mental health & the immune system and the poverty caused by the damage to the economy have done more harm than the virus itself.

The response to Covid was a sad example of collective madness and hysteria and governments that were only too willing to control their population, and politicians who used the pandemic as an opportunity to make money with shady deals.

Agree with all of this.

Everyone is soooo happy it’s over, because there’s vaccines right?

l can’t tolerate the vaccine. 2 have made me severely disabled. I wish l felt confident and happy that it was ‘over’

Yes, covid has a huge impact on the cardiovascular system.

Definitely long Covid seems to be related to cardiovascular issues. My brother has racing heart for up to an hour after modest exercise. He got it in March 2020. No vaccine then of course.

These problems will ramify through the health service for a few years surely? While idiots vent about the 'clot shot'.

There are so many possible meanings. Legal, epidemiological, cultural. They're all different and you could probably fill a book on each.
