Just a quick one! Trying to gauge how much I should sell for.
I have a small cake making business and I've always got bread on the go so to add it at a small cost isn't going to be any trouble. A few people have asked for loaves, and im unsure on how much I should charge for them.

How much would you pay for this?
(The gluten free option I do will have to be more expensive as it costs more)

Thank you!

I know I have said I'd pay nothing OP, but I'm not your clientele. The general rule is, go as high as you can as it's tricky to raise prices. There is also the psychological aspect of pricing. Too low and people will think it's not great quality, too high and you'll price them out.
I'd you're in a nice town I'd say £3.50. £4 sounds too high for bread in my head so I think that'll be in the too high range. £3.50 nice fancy bread as a treat. You'll barely make a profit off that £3.50 anyway.

I like the shape, as weird as it is I’d pay more for something that shape than loaf shape like you get in the supermarket, feels a bit more special

I’d also say if you’re going to do it, do it flavoured, , olive, sun dried tomato, walnut, garlic, rosemary etc plain white is not something I’d buy really specially made, but a flavoured one, yes I would.

Sorry I would also say, I am your clientele, I pay 4 -5 pounds I think it is for bread from Gail’s from Ocado. But not plain white, I just buy a normal loaf for that or tiger bread.

And finally I’m also south east, about 35 miles from London.

I am your target market and would pay £4.

I don't buy white bread, but if you did wholemeal or seeded etc, I would happily pay £4.
