Everyone here fir as long as I can remember have white bed linen. It’s easy to keep clean and always looks and feels fresh to me. However, I am debating whether I should buy some lovely gingham sheets I have seen. I need a second set hence why I need some soon.

black satin

Mindovermatter247 · 23/04/2023 22:37

Right now i have what I call my period sheets, specific old ones I put on for time of the month, they are a purple and blue celestial design. I also have Navy eeyore design. Me and DP have separate duvets so he has chip and dale and a rainbow effect 9ne. I also have brushed cotton Mickey Mouse ones and brushed cotton deer ones for the winter. I would never use white, simply because they’d never stay white, ds15 is autistic and likes sitting in our bed more than his own. He sits in it everyday, also we have the dog… so absolutely not white.

Burgundy in the winter, cream in the spring and autumn, teal or blue in the summer.

That’s very routine!

Always had white and solids previously but I'm loving these crisp new grey and white striped ones I bought recently.

White

Current bedding (with a very cross cat who is adamant all food should be his...)
I had the patchwork quilt made by a woman in America, fabric is Riley Blake. Fell in love with the fabric but can't sew Grin

Charcoal grey & blush pink, I'm too messy for white sheets.

ladygindiva · 23/04/2023 23:40

Dark grey or navy for the king in my room, cream for the double guest bed, pink for my DDS single beds. All different colours so I can find them in the cupboard 😁

BusterGonads · 23/04/2023 23:46

Plain black, all of my bedding is plain black.

They’re so cute, aren’t they? Even after I had to patch the bottom one because a certain Dear Cat tried digging a hole in it!

RandomSunday · 24/04/2023 00:14

Always white for me. DS has light grey sheets to match his bedroom - because he’s cool 😎🙄

I wouldn’t consider anything but white, Egyptian sheets - for me

Ilovetea42 · 24/04/2023 00:14

Ours are black then our duvet is white with black polka dots. It's great if you're doing a tan etc but they do show up every bit of fluff going! I've never used white sheets but then I'd worry about getting tan or makeup on them.

PickleOfAConundrum · 24/04/2023 00:17

I have black sheets and a grey duvet on at the moment. It sets off the leather bed and the room is painted lighter grey with one wall a dark grey. We are hoping to be moving this year so I would love a different colour scheme.

Toddlerteaplease · 24/04/2023 00:19

White

Felixss · 24/04/2023 00:23

Does no one get heavy periods in the night on mn ? Mine are black with dark covers as its very hard to wash out a blood bath stains out of white sheets and too much effort

EconomyClassRockstar · 24/04/2023 00:27

White top and bottom sheet and pillow cases. Was always a crisp white duvet kind of girl but recently I've moved to different colored duvet covers (one is pink, one is green and one is a kind of duck egg blue) and I am quite the convert.

When I still had periods I had aubergine sheets (this was in my Goth days 😄).

Oh that sounds cool i might buy some, I'm very low effort , coverless duvet goes in the washing machine ,with the sheet and pillow case. Same with DDs I have the same bedding year round 😅.

BuffyTheCat · 24/04/2023 00:42

I used to like white sheets until perimenopause hit and I couldn’t keep them white. Now burgundy, black and other dark colours.

RoseMartha · 24/04/2023 00:48

I have sheets in white, duck egg and a pink to match various duvet covers.

OnedayIwillfeelfree · 24/04/2023 01:48

1000 thread count white. Bought them following recommendations on MN from a company called King of Cotton. Work out around £200 for quilt cover bottom sheet and pillowcases.Have two sets, so I can make bed whilst laundering a set. and even after being boil washed after every use for 15 years+ they are still gorgeous. They seem softer after each wash.

So do I! I have two pairs of sheets (the others are pale green, lavender and blue stripes on a white ground and I don’t even use them), a sort of corduroy one side, sherpa stuff on the other blanket, and the bedspread I knitted a few years ago. With two cats sleeping on the bed, bulky or expensive bedding really isn’t necessary or a good idea!
