MULTIPLE bags of mini daim.

This is your warning...
ONE BAG IS NOT ENOUGH

also bag clips, ikeas are definitely the best.

IdaGoodnight · 20/04/2023 21:32

Coffee. Buy the blocks and stack ‘em high.
Ginger thin biscuits.

Triffid1 · 20/04/2023 21:32

I was going to order extra pillows online. But now I think I need to make a trip. I have some free time this weekend.....

Useyourfork · 20/04/2023 21:37

Kallax, kallax plus another kallax for good measure.
A panda toy.
Some big wardrobes.

ThreeFeetTall · 20/04/2023 21:40

Get the app, make a 'favourites' list you can refer to as you go round. The app will also tell you how many of that item are in stock at your local shop.

Then you can add approx 27 other things that you see on your way round Wink

I am loving their bright patterned versions of the classic big blue ikea bag.

ThreeFeetTall · 20/04/2023 21:42

@YesitsBess
You are going to be my ikea inspiration next time I go! Grin

YesitsBess · 20/04/2023 21:48

IKEA leaf. 100% worth it.

He still sleeps under them now like a Dormouse.

He's 14.

Oh another thing their underbed storage box things are brilliant, I've bought cheaper but it didn't have the plastic to put in the sides that keeps the shape. Their shoe boxes are brilliant too, my wardrobe is piled high with them.

Both when not in use (as if that ever happens) can be flattened and stored neatly away.

DinosApple · 21/04/2023 07:13

Drona boxes for kallax.
They're great for the playroom and when they get trashed after a few years you can buy some different coloured ones for a new look.

QueenofLouisiana · 21/04/2023 07:19

Watching with interest.

If anyone can tell me what you bought your student child from Ikea (that they actually used), I'd be very appreciative.

IAcceptCookies · 21/04/2023 07:28

If the sharks are back in stock, buy a shark.

Billy bookcases. Lots of them. Sometimes with doors.
They make great cupboards when you don't have a lot of room.

CeriB82 · 21/04/2023 07:36

I bought 2 bedside lamps with their energy saving bulbs. Every time I switch one on the smart meter goes red.

went to Dunelm bought 2 nicer looking ones and they don’t upset my smart meter.

thing like food bags, etc i get in home bargains for the same price. My house is old and a cottage and ikea furniture is a no-no for me. Esp white furniture. Hate it!

RayahB · 21/04/2023 07:37

You don't tell ikea what your buying, ikea tells you

Enjoy, I love an ikea trip!

LexieLoos · 21/04/2023 07:42

The glass tupperware with the clippy lids are really good
And the pillows!

TheInterceptor · 21/04/2023 07:46

Two bags of Daim please, one for the children and one for me. Absolute nom.

FannythePinkFlamingo · 21/04/2023 07:48

Kallax. I think we are nearing 100 Kallax holes in this house now. And Drona boxes. Garlic press. Best one I've ever owned. Jumbo sized bags of tea lights. I recently sorted out my wardrobe and bought some Skubb and Stuk storage boxes. They've been fab for packing winter stuff away.

Minxyjinx · 21/04/2023 07:55

Daim minis
stemless wine glasses
the big white recycling boxes with lids
three pack of scissors
batteries
toilet brush heads
cushion covers/cushions

If the sharks are back in stock, buy a shark.

That looks exactly the one my daughter has, which I bought from the Hancock Museum, about 8 years ago.

Anyway, I really don't like IKEA, but last January, I bought about a dozen storage boxes, as we had the kitchen ripped out. Then the fitters let us down and we had no kitchen for 3 months.

I also live in a really old cottage and thought Ikea storage would look wrong. BUT YOU CAN PAINT IT! I bought a few Billy bookcases for temporary storage, three years later they are still here, propping up the 200+ year old walls and nobody has recoiled in horror yet.
Paint them to match the walls and nobody even notices them.

mastertomsmum · 21/04/2023 08:23

Storage solutions and kitchen utensils worth a look.

Be careful if looking at lampshades. I bought some fab ones, though the attachment looked different but as they didn’t sell adapters I assumed it wasn’t. It was, had to buy some of those circular things from a local hardware shop.

mrsharrisgoestoparis · 21/04/2023 10:09

Tea towels
Freezer bags
Wine glasses
Kitchen brushes

DeflatedAgain · 21/04/2023 10:12

Candles and meatballs 🤤

KittenCatt · 28/05/2024 00:14

During my most recent visit, I bought:

Arstid table lamp (brass)
Mini chest of storage drawers
Shelves x2
Candles
Vase/candle holders
Wooden hangers
Collapsible colander
Water jug
Paper napkins
Daim cake
Plant based meatballs
Gravy sachets

I wanted to get a rotating storage tray too, but completely forgot to pick one up!

The freezer bags are brilliant. Buy different sizes.

I like a lot of their things, and favourites are kitchen things like cutlery drainers, crockery, big saucepan, cutlery, and garlic press.
I have several duvet covers from there and some large cotton rugs, which amazingly have survived going in the washing machine.
And I have lots of furniture.

My next visit, I'll be stocking up on freezer bags and tea towels, and maybe some of the things recommended on here.

I can never work out what size duvet sets to get!

iv got a king size bed but the sets never have double, king etc just the measurements
